Cayetanon was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. They accommodated my son well. Free tea in beautiful period furnished rooms.
No wifi in the room.
Great and helpful staff, great location, charming old furniture and details
you can hear the noise from the patio
Staff Friendliness Cleanliness Quiet rooms Beautiful renovated old house with rooms around a central patio and stained glass on top. Walking distance to most historical places, museums, churches, restaurants around downtown Quito. Worth every penny. Bernardo and Monica, you are the best.
A bit hard to find, as the entrance is at the end of a driveway were cars are usually parked.
The central location is perfect. The hotel is cosy, with possibility to work or read in the wonderful salon or very nice winter garden-patio. The team is very helpful, attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed the house kitchen with local specialities.
I loved the colonial architecture and how well the owners created a beautiful and relaxing environment where you can use rooms for leisure or business. Sonia and her son were amazing and gracious hosts without intruding bu always available to help.
If you're interested in architecture this hotel is really special. A 200 year old home still owned by the family it has great ambience. The continental breakfast was delicious and made to your specifications and always fresh. The area was great to explore on foot during the day and picturesque at night. The staff were extremely accomodating, friendly and helpful.
Our room faced out onto the main courtyard so was a bit noisy and the street that runs right in front of the property could be quite busy during the day.
Location Price Helpful staff
WiFi was only accessible in the common areas
The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and full of history. A quiet place to sleep.
The reach of the wifi router is not very good.
Excellent, friendly staff, ready to help in organizing trips etc. Location
nothing, this was really a good choice
The central courtyard and common areas are beautiful and relaxing and the rooms are spacious. Our hosts were friendly and accomodated us in every way possible. I highly recommend you stay here!
This place is BEAUTIFUL ! The rooms are all decorated with antiques. It looks like a museum. The location right at SF plaza was great. We arrived late, so the restaurant was a plus (all entrees under $10). We left our luggage there until 6:00 pm our last day - no problem. We then asked them to order us a taxi. It was New Years Eve and she called a taxi they knew and trusted. They went out to the street with is to wait and ensure all went well, waiving off two taxis they didn't know. A cynic would say they were getting a referral fee. I don't care. Rate to the airport was $25, $1 less than the $26 when we came into Quito. It's +/- 45 minutes from the airport to hotel. Everyone spoke English. Hot breakfast was included. This hotel is family run and loved!
Our particular room had no exterior window or ventilation. A fan would be suggested to the owners.
The staff there are the best people ever... genuine kindness and without overplaying it Great location next to San Francisco Church Beautiful setting
The staff are great, everything was possible, with a smile. Very convenient location within walking distance of major historic attractions
Having to pack up and leave!
Great staff, perfect location in old town, nice breakfast
Small hotel with character, very helpful and friendly staff, excellent location 100 yards from San Francisco church in the old town.Quiet place. Good breakfast.Every day we walk as late as 10:00 pm from and to the hotel to various museum and churches without any problem. Lots of good choices for restaurants 10 minutes away on foot. Michel
Amazing staff Good breakfast Awesome setting Excellent location
Ambiant Central Common Area. Bright mezzanine with cozy tables and spectacular "stained glass" skylight. Friendly & Helpful Staff. Guest Rooms buffered from Road Noise. Lush, tropical feel of the hotel in general--Yummy!. Breakfast Included. Location of the hotel in interesting Old Town Quito.
Our Room #6 did not have an outside window other than into the indoor common area. Hotel noise carried too well throughout--Quite noisy at times. No ice available to guests.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. They help us to organize a day trip to Otavalo. We were able to leave our luggage for a day and take a shower before our night flight back to USA. Charming decor, hotel is located in the center of old town. Very nice breakfast. We highly recommend this hotel.
noise from a street.
This colonial hotel is really charming and well located. Excellent value for money!
Very helpfulu staff!!! Easy access everywere in historical part of city.
I had to change my reservation at the last minute and they accommodated my request.
Fantastic colonial style property in the heart of old historic Quito. Wonderful service, home feeling, warm welcoming and extremely helpful stuff. Highly recommendable!
very very friendly, helpful staff. The hotel building itself has very interesting decors and history in itself.
"smell of the sewer' from the bathroom floor drain. No heat in the building, it was cold in Nov. Historical city, no one around after 7 pm, so there is no need to stay in the historical part of the city. Stay outside the city you would likely get a more modern hotel
location in the old town
the restaurant (some Buena Vista) recommended by staff was far too overpriced..
Very nice colonial villa in the middle of historic Quito. Everything perfect.
