    Overall, great. Charming with style.

No wifi in the room. You have to stay in the sort of outside lobby/living room

historic building with charm and character excellent location friendly staff excellent breakfast (included in price) value for money

Noise level. Due to the age of the building, there is pretty well no insulation and you hear people going up and down the stairs, talking in the next room, showers running, etc. If you are a light sleeper, this hotel may not be for you. Our rooms were very close to one of the common areas with wifi which resulted in people talking and chatting in front of our door at night. Also, the noise from people leaving the hotel at all hours of the early morning woke us up and kept us from having a good night's sleep.

    Ambiance, location, recommendations of owners

Interior room was a little noisy. Third floor would be better.

Beautiful "Boutique" property added to by the "family" attitude of all the staff and owners. Central situation and security was great, as was the untiring good-will of all concerned..

No refrigerator in the room and lack of "after hours" coffee.

Atmosphere. Situation in historic centre. Helpfulness of staff. Wonderful food in restaurant. Sonia is magnificent going not only the "extra yard" but the "extra mile" to be helpful.

We only stayed one night but I would highly recommend for a longer stay. It's a hippy vibe hacienda that is very comfortable with very accommodating staff. Great breakfast!

Historic center is dangerous at night so just be sure to be back at the hotel earlier than later.

A very chilled hotel with excellent staff who were very helpful. Great common areas for reading and chilling out. Very nice breakfast, wifi ok outside the rooms, and a great location.

We had a room next to the common areas so it was a little noisy as people left for early morning flights.

We stayed four nights. You cannot beat this establishment for location, staff friendliness and value. The morning breakfast is included with the room rate and is VERY generous. On most mornings the cook prepared eggs to order on request. Most restaurants in Quito are closed for dinner on Sunday nights, however, this hotel also serves dinner (not included). The dinner was delicious and fairly priced.

We were not able to have a room with a double or queen bed, only two twin beds.

The history of the place is fascinating. The manner in which they added to the character of the 150 year old former convent is wonderful. Sonia, the administrator, along with her staff is extremely helpful. I would advise my friends to use this hotel. Thank you, Sonia.

The mirror in the bathroom is so high that I could barely see my forehead. Well, I'm only 5'2", it would make a difference if we had a mirror in the bedroom.

Traveling with sister....the hotel is run by family and is over 100 years old. It was their great-grands' family home. Things are old, beautiful, and well-kept..a fabulous boutique hotel! Value-for-money is over the top!

I wish I could have stayed much longer.

It was like an oasis, a traditional house rather than a hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the old town, the location is perfect and the hotel is quiet as it is tucked away.

    Absolutely nothing.

A wonderful staff which couldn't do enough for us. Great location in the Centro Historico. The common rooms in the hotel were beautiful and unique.

Our room had no window to the exterior of the building, which made it feel a little claustrophobic.

This was simply an incredible hotel. The building is beautiful and has lots of character, the staff make you feel you are at home, and the location in the historic center could not be better. Only two types of traveller may not fully enjoy this hotel. Those for whom internet access is absolutely indispensable, since the connection is often very unstable; and those who are light sleepers, as the walking around on the wooden stairs can be a bit noisy sometimes.
