Decorated with wooden walls and gabled roofs, rooms at Bird Planet are bright and spacious. Most of them have private bathrooms with hot running water. Breakfast is served daily at an extra fee. The restaurant offers Ecuatorian specialties including seafood and chicken with mushrooms. Excursions can be booked at the tour desk. Guests can unwind in the lobby, which features a TV set. Birds in the morning are around and beautiful. Not worth the money. We had a tiny room with poor ventilation and no screens to keep the bugs out. The sheets were very poor quality and so scratchy it was hard to sleep. The grounds were fairly well maintained, but there was dog poop by the swing set along with some trash. We asked the staff to pick up the poop for our 2-year old, and they did, but they didn't bother picking up the obvious sprite bottle and other garbage. We were interested in drinks at night after our daughter went to bed in there outdoor cabana area. They told us they served until 10:30, but when we got in around 9 no one was around to serve us so we just went to sleep. In the morning we needed to call and wake someone up to unlock the gate and let us out at 8. Not our favorite place to stay. Spend a little more and you'll find much better accommodations.

The location was very good, at the top of the town away from the noise yet only 5 minutes walk away The cabins are quite new with good beds and bedding but they were quite small with nowhere to put stuff. We had to pay extra for breakfast which I considered to be on the mean side (only 1 egg) coffee was cheap powdered coffee. Overall the cost was 40 per cent more than we paid in the centre of Quito.

La chambre "VIP" n'était pas propre, des gouttes d'eau coulaient du toit. Le ménage n'est pas fait d'un jour à l'autre. Les portes et fenêtres ne sont pas bien ajustées ce qui permet aux moustiques de rentrer. Le toit en plastique laisse passer le jour et le bruit. Hotel bruyant à côté de la route. Petit déjeuner chère pour le peu de chose qu'il y a. A déconseiller.
