Super bad wifi. Breakfast was so-so (an cost an additional $4).
Damaged and smelling bathrooms, wifi just in The Lobby and slowest ever
Friendly staff, We left our luggage and went to isabela, they take care of them, Compared to other hotel ( except 4 stars) and hostals, price is fair. The others are worse and even don't have windows and ask 80$ per night. Rooms are very clean.
Wifi doesn't work in the room, First stay they gave us a room with window, second stay( when we came back from isabela island) they gave a room without window in same price. So ask to see the room first.
To be fair the rooms were clean and nice and they did have hot water
We got there and they tried to charge us double. When we said we wouldnt pay they tried to charge us cancelation fee. We finally were able to pay the origional price. They put . Us in a room on the top floor right under construction that started early every morning. The toilet in our room was clogged and noone came to fix it. Though they said they had wifi it was only in the lobby not the rooms. You can find many cheaper places to stay. Also be warned they charge you 10% if you pay with a card.
Almost everything... holiday feeling from the moment you enter
Helpful staff with many suggestions to see sights. Very clean.
Breakfast at additional cost. Slow Wi-Fi (common in Galapagos)
breakfast non included
good value, great location, helpful staff.
noisy on Saturday night
Room was big cleaned every day close to main town
Wireless is non existant breakfast was only ok
hammocks & chairs to hang out, good location
no ground floor rooms, no kitchen for public use, no breakfast when leaving early for the water taxi or diving, bad WiFi/internet, low season rates not updated in booking.com, onsite rates much less!!!
Yes, great staff and location close to everything
poor to no wifi, but to be expected as on the Islands.
The staff were over the top nice and informative.
Internet is not reliable.
We booked one night at hotel espana for after our 8 day cruise around the islands so we would have a place to go to and then plan our remaining two weeks on the islands. The staff at check in spoke excellent English, the room was clean and well appointed with air con and a Sony flat screen with cable. It was also pretty much the cheapest place we could find online. After we arrived we went scouting for a better option and found another place a couple of doors down which charged 40% less for the same standard of room but without tv or a/c which was great for us. Overall espana is a great option if you want to be able to book something in advance but there are better options nearby which you can't book online.
The hallways were quite echoey as its all hard surfaces but this was a minor issue. The wifi could get really slow when multiple users online as they have quite a lot of rooms so there can be a lot of guests if its reasonably full
big bedroom, comfortable bed
problems with cold water in the shower bad internet
This hotel was only a couple of streets from the pier and the main street. Our room was huge with a balcony. The room was really clean & the beds were comfy. It was in easy walking distance of everything we needed. The staff were friendly & helpful.
Breakfast was not included in the price
The location was decent only a couple of blocks near the main street, hot water, the room was spacious, and replaced the towels every day, receptionist was nice and helpful even though he set us up with a day tour the guy in front is cheaper and Leo the neighbor cat greet us every day.
To begin with it was over priced, they charged a service fee and iva which was additional $50. The WiFi sucks even if you're in the "WiFi lounge" I would connect for 5 minutes and then cut off and the receptionist don't do anything about it. The odor of the room was horrible, the water pressure sucks, and beds were hard as a rock.
The room was clean and the furniture are ok.
The whole hostel was a construction site from 9.9.14 onwards!! Starting with the entrance area under concrete and tiling works, the building itself will be extended by new rooms and stairs etc. This results in construction noise starting from 7.00 am till appr. 6.00 pm !! The internet is very slow and always overloaded that means on and off !! the food served in the morning is poor for 4 usd, you can find better in small restaurant’s in 200m till 400m distance.
Great location in Puerto Ayora and pretty comfortable for the most part.
Power outage and water cut off during stay with no discount offered. Wifi only available in lobby and staff stream videos themselves using a lot of bandwidth. Some staff take their kids to work who run around making noise most of the time.
Don't have Internet in rooms, and is worst in common areas
Hotel Espana is a nice hotel, but when coming to Puerto Ayora we saw that there are many nice Hostales that cost half the price. If you want to make 100% sure to have a room prebooking this Hotel is a good option, otherwise search directly when coming to Puerto Ayora.
Breakfast not included
Staff was so helpful!
No fridge in room Drinking water machine was not on to get hot and cold drinking water
Some of the staff are amazing, really helpful and friendly. The hotel is really clean, the breakfast is also good. Location in great
breakfast is good. the staff was really helpful and kind. The rooms were nice, own bathroom tv and everything you need
the value you get is not very good. i mean everything is totally okay but i think compared to other places, its a little bit to expensive, but i was there as a backpacker ...
Hot showers with pressure and fabulous location. Staff spoke perfect English and were happy to give us any information we wanted. Comfortable beds and functioning airconditioning! Didn't eat breakfast here however the main local resturant street is only 2 streets away!
Wifi only worked in the reception area.
