From the first moment on it was clear that the hosts wanted to make our stay as relaxing and easy as possible. They were very helpful with our questions, way beyond just B-related things. In particular the help with planning tours was greatly appreciated. The house and patio are in great condition, and our room, balcony and bathroom were as big and comfy as I would only expect in a luxury hotel.
We liked the breakfast centered around fresh fruit, juice and good coffee. Though, if you expect a warm breakfast every day, you might be somewhat disappointed.
Wonderful accomodation, very friendly, good breakfast, welcoming
This hotel is sweet and beautiful and has all what we appreciate: nice towels, fine bed linnens, a good shower; and all the plugs are in the right place. We came during the morning, but nevertheless had our room already waiting for us.
The hotel looks new, it only has 6 rooms, and they have all you require for a pleasant stay. Joselyn the owner treats you like family and helps in everything she can. Every thing I requested she made it happen without complaint, and always with a smile. She cooks the breakfast which is very nice, and prepares it however you like. It's only 2 blocks from the center of town. I will definitely stay here for my next trips to Galapagos.
First of all -- Joseline is the best. Months before I stayed at her fantastic hotel, she was helping me line up boat trips and ferries. When I accidentally booked a flight out of the wrong island --she helped me find alternate transportation. She is a gem. Her hotel is immaculate. It is comfortable and in a great location. What a treat to stay at Galapagos Suites.
The B&B was spotless! I can't believe how well maintained it is. The breakfast was wonderful. You really feel like you are staying with family. The location is a little far from the port but close to a nice section of Charles Darwin for shopping and restaurants. We slept great! The rooms are really comfortable.
I would love to have a pool for the kids but that is a bit unrealistic.
An excellent small hotel/pension. Very clean with nice interrior. The 2 rooms in the 2. floor have a nice view around the town. In total 6 or 7 rooms.
We had a wonderful stay here. The room and hotel were beautiful and immaculately clean. Breakfast was delicious and varied. And the proprietor was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We'd recommend.
I originally booked in here for three nights planning to move to another island afterwards. Unfortunately i developed the flu shortly after arriving and felt so unwell that i ended up staying 7 nights. This was not a hardship. Joceline the owner was one of the nicest people i have met for a very long time. She did her best to look after us bringing me hot drinks when i felt unable to go out and ringing the doctor for advice on one occasion. The room was spotless with a massive bed, balcony with hammock, spacious living and bath room areas. The accomodation was minutes safe walk from the main road in town with all the shops restaurants and bars. Joceline was happy to provide advice on all activities and tours and helped to arrange these and taxis when we asked. We felt very at home here and were very sad to leave. I would strongly recommend this accommodation to anyone considering staying in the area. (If you read this Joceline thank you once again).
- Safe - near main part of Puerto Ayora but quiet - clean - new and modern equipement
- Room was on ground floor and breakfast area right in front of it in the garden. We hardly couldn't sleep in the morning or leave our window open - kind of sterile rooms. Stickers what to do and what not to do EVERYWHERE - the owner asked in advance a lot of things, e.g. about our allergies. For breakfast exact those things we explicetely denied as food where served! - be careful: offered prices for transportation, laundry etc. seem low but are in fact much higher than self-organized. For example they charge $30 for the transfer from the airport to Galapagos B&B. The actual price is $20 for two persons!!! and it's absolutely no problem to organize it right after your arrival - very limited variety of food for breakfast. On our first day there was NO CHEESE and HAM, just fruit and juice (we told them in advance about our allergies against these things), cake, coffee, tea, bread and cereales
My first thought was there is no need to give my rating opinion as others have already rated it almost entirely excellent. However, I have to say The Galapagos Suites is excellent for even the little details: the icing on the cake. For instance, the main light in the bathroom dims to a night light automatically: a very thoughtful touch. The air conditioning is very effective. Our room was airy and bright with several nice windows. The location is convenient: closer to the Charles Darwin Research Station than the port and an easy walk to shopping, restaurants and the bank. The. Post Office is across the street from the port so at the other end of town but still an easy 15 minute walk. And, the icing of the icing is Joselina, the owner. She is very kind, knowledgable, helpful and thoughtful. We would stay at The Galapagos Suites every time we visit Santa Cruz Island and stay in Puerto Ayora without hesitation.
Loved the owners, very helpful and made you feel like home
Wonderful service from this hotel - Joseline helped us book a great tour, find a shared taxi to the airport and she was accommodating when we initially made a mistake with our booking dates for the hotel. Th hotel had a lovely atmosphere - cool and relaxing. Rooms spotlessly clean. We hope to return to the Galapagos and will definitely book with the Galapagos Suites when we return.
Loved the Hotel, Josie was so helpful with trips, taxis and information. Excellent rooms and great breakfast to start our busy days. Perfect for our group. If you can't face cruising, this was a great way to see the Galapagos Islands.
The town needs some more reliable cashpoints! (we would have spent more money!)
TODO!! Will recommend to anyone. Very progressional with all the details to make your stay pleasant. Earl y Lucrecia Madrid
Joselin was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, spacious and updated. Breakfast was ample and delicious. Much better stay than at a hotel.
Very warm welcome by very friendly and helpful family; very comfortable and spacious rooms; very nice breakfast served outside; good location for the dock; great attention to ecological details (recycling, etc.)
Not at all the fault of the place (it is the same in all places on all the islands) but the fact that paper cannot be put in the lavatory can be unpleasant
Everything was great. We were given good advice about restaurants, tour options, good breakfast. The beds are good with high quality sheets.
The food was delicious. One morning I missed breakfast due to an early departure for a day trip. I heard later that they served brownies that morning and sadly I did not get any of them. Everyone else said they were fabulous though! The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Beds are comfortable but the hammocks are even better! I loved the convenient drying racks on the porch. Location is great..two blocks from Charles Darwin Ave. Everyone should stay here unless I am trying to get a room at that time.:)
I did not like having to leave.
Management went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Very safe, excellent location a couple small blocks from coast and many gift shops and restaurants.!!!!!!AAA
Friendly staff/owners, nice big clean room, good air con, hot shower, good wifi and nice breakfast.
Expensive for what you get
The staff cannot do enough to help, really lovely people. The room was big and always spotless. Great location
Most of all we liked our hostess Josy. She was very helpful in everything.
The room and premises were sparkling clean, furnished with style and obviously a feeling for what a traveller needs. We had no reason to complain about whatsoever. Breakfast was excellent - daily freshly squeezed natural juices, fresh fruit and home-baked cakes made our days. On top of that you had choices of cereals, yogurt, bread, butter and marmelade. Upon request Joseline also prepared eggs, sausages, ham and cheese. Joseline is an excellent host, made us feel very welcome and helped us with any wishes we had. It's obvious she's in tourism with her heart. She also helped us with advice on daily trips and organized transport to the airport for us. We very much appreciated her care and respect for nature, which is more than evident.
Galapagos Suites B&B is very well-maintained and the rooms are huge! One thing this place has going for it is the owner, Joseline. It is clear that she take great pride in having a well-run, clean and welcoming B&B. She comes across as very warm and helpful to her guests. She had suggestions on what to do for the day and also was happy to call up agencies for day trips. As it turned out, I could not go on a trip that she had helped me book as I was feeling a bit under the weather the day before and she was ready to take me to the doctor if needed! The B&B is in a good location (a block and a half away from the very entertaining fish market - don't miss the pelicans and sea lions hovering around the fish - it is quite a sight!) Other nice things - drinking water dispensers around the B&B for the guests, homemade breakfast with fruit and a generally quiet location.
