Polite ,smiling and friendly staff...always aware about details.Room service was quick and gourmet...loved food there
Breakfast could have started a little earlier, at 6 am for example.
Excellent value for your money, all staff professional and friendly, wonderfully and uniquely decorated, lovely extensive breakfast!
Failed to pick us up at airport on 2nd visit despite taking our flight # in advance- desk staff explained it was b/c we arrived early. As it was only a couple minutes we were disappointed and waited awhile before taking a taxi
Restaurant serves many healthy fruits & veggies which are not always easy to find- my very strict diet kept on track during both stays here
Needed hotel for early morning flight. Location was good. Staff was helpful and professional. Hotel was clean. Statues and art work were quirky.
All was good
When our small group arrived in Quayquill (en route to Galapagos) after a 12hr flight from Madrid it was so nice to see the Hotels shuttle bus driver waiting at the arrivals with a big smile on his face. This so important first impression reflected the really superb service that we enjoyed from the Man- Ging team during our 3 night stay. hotel is well located for river, old town and iguana park . Will happily recommend to all . The abundance and variety of art scattered around the hotel was pleasing and made every bedroom individual. Well done
For our stay all was perfect
When you arrive in a city after many hours of air travel and the shuttle bus driver is waiting for you with a beaming smile its just got to be good. The hotel is situated just a few minutes drive from the airport and around 15 minutes walk from the River and iguana park . Everything during our stay (3 nights in all) just went so well ... Staff were extremely helpful and happy to be so. Rooms were perfectly adequate in size and the free Wifi most appreciated enabling us to Skype call our loved ones 6000 miles away . You could argue that the art copiously displayed in rooms , corridors and public places to be a little quirky .... but in fact it personalises your room and I kinda liked that ... and to my mind makes this hotel stand out from the rest . I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone and will be informing my friend Leslie of ' Dive the Galapagos' to include the hotel in her recommendations to othe scuba divers planning to visit the incredible Galápagos Islands Well done Man-Ging Mike
Room was very small. It was also supposed to be quiet but got a lot of noise from the street (first floor) and from the adjacent room.
Location, staff, artwork.
I was born and raised in Guayaquil. Now I have lived in NY for 14 years and traveled around the world because of my job. The Hotel was a great experience. It is in the center of Guayaquil. The area is safe. The personnel is very friendly, helpful and caring. They were always smiling. The accomodations were excellent: clean, comfortable, quite and neat. The price was excellent. You can request a taxi and the staff will get you one. It was an amazing and happy surprised experience. I highly recommend it.
The service was extremely disappointing. This was my third time at this property. The first time was great, but the service has changed. They don't have enough employees to answer phone calls, fix problems, and they make a ton of mistakes. They put me in the wrong room when I first arrived. After I put away all my clothes, they knocked on my door to move me to another room. In that other room the air conditioning , the wifi, and the security box were not working. I would call the front desk and the phone would ring over 30 times and nobody would answer. I walked down to the front desk repeatedly and complained about the problems in the room. They would apologize for the problems, but never fix any of them. At night there was loud pounding music and it was really hard to sleep. On my last day at the hotel the key to my wrong stopped working. I could not make it upstairs (need key for elevator) nor enter my room.It was a long wait before I could get back into my room and pack up. I immediately asked for their shuttle service to the hotel and they told me the driver was on vacation and I would have to take a cab. Everything was difficult, disjointed, and disappointing from beginning to the end. When I checked out they never bothered to ask me how my stay went. You are better off paying more and staying at the Hotel Oro Verde. It cost a little more, but the service and amenities are 10 times better. When you take into account the horrible service, you might be better of paying half and going to a cheaper hotel like Las Penas. I am so disappointed I doubt I will return to this hotel.
Food, location, personalized service....
no bar to speak of ... no atmosphere no restaurant
price was great location was great decor
Bed was very uncomfortable, walls were paper thin. Noisy street. Sleep was a luxury here.
Close to town. Nice hotel and room.
Nothing - it's not a luxury option but it has everything you need and does the job!
Friendly and helpful staff Convenient for the airport and the main streets in Guayaquil Standard hotel with art filled lobby and corridors and 24 hour restaurant
no hay senal de wifi medio incomodo
About 15 minutes from the airport. Friendly staff, FREE wifi & Buffet breakfast included in the price. Really good experience. I would recommended it to anyone on a business trip.
When we arrived in our room, the A/C was off and the room was stifling hot. Not a problem since the hotel wants to save on energy. The problem was we wanted to turn on the A/C and walk around outside a bit until it cooled down. The A/C only works if the room key is inserted into the thermostat so we could not leave the room. :(
The entire hotel is stuffed full of artwork. Every room, hallway, bathroom and dining room. Some good art....some not so good. It was interesting to wander around and look at everything. FUN!!!
I have stayed in this facility repeatedly over a two year period. It has been about a year since my last visit. I found the current situation less than satisfactory. While the prices seem to have gone up, the service has definitely gone down. The quality of the staff is poor at best. The food is overpriced and poorly prepared (cold and bland). Room service took 20 minutes after an order to call back and say the ordered item was not available. In lieu of the complimentary breakfast that is pretty much an industry standard, the facility now offers an alcoholic beverage instead which for many is of no value whatsoever. Why bother? Apparently they have had problems with security as it took two people and several minutes to allow me entry into the secure parking lot. I am clean cut, well dressed and groomed, and drive a late model sedan so I don't think my "looks" had anything to do with it. I was treated as if I were trying to "pull something over" on the hotel. The staff acts like they are working for Waldorf in NYC. This is Guayaquil not NYC or London!!!! This is a Class B facility on its best day. Loosen up!! I will not be staying at this facility again. As a seasoned traveler, I recommend you look elsewhere for accommodations.
The cost is a bit high. Not the best value.
Hotel Galeria de Arte Man-Ging is located in a convenient location in central Guayaquil. It is a 10-15 minute cab ride to the airport, about a 10 minute walk to the Iguana Park, and a 20 minute walk to the Malecon 2000. As an artist, I particularly enjoyed the explosion of artwork EVERYWHERE in the hotel! There's the good, the tasteless, the funky, the kitsch - but it's all quite enjoyable. Our room was most comfortable. The air conditioning functioned well but the wi-fi was spotty. The staff was helpful, although some could be friendlier. We would stay here again.
I rented ine week in rm. 505 and the shower head was awesome, the following week I rented rm. 515 and the shower head was terrible.
Attention from the staff was second to none! The art work everywhere is nice and the boutique hotel feel is awesome.
Staff is very trust worthy, furthermore they go above and beyond! Beds are very comfortable! Boutique Hotel!
Courtesy of the staff and the cleaneless are the best, but the bestest is if you need medical assistance the ambulance is in 5 min. For free, I never saw in any hotel before.
The cleanness of the bathroom could have been better!!
The structures of the rooms, where spacious and that each room is decorated differently!! Restaurant and were exceptional good!!
good and economical
Guayaquil in general is noisy
Great place for the $$. Was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and as was the wait staff.
