Room was spacious, the courtyard is comfortable and adorable, the facility is very clean, you can buy cheap beer at the front counter even after the hotel bar is closed, location seems secure. Breakfast is plentiful, cheap, and runs till 11. There is a pool table, a small, full service restaurant, and a small bar, all within the hostel. The only thing missing is a pool, but that's pretty difficult to find in Quito overall, and perhaps impossible at this price point. Location is great - during the day - as it is situated between three cute parks and the historic district. It is a shame that the parts of central Quito which are the most enjoyable during the day are the most reputably dangerous at night (parks and historic area) but that is the way it goes. Basically, you can walk to things from this Inn, but heed warnings and try to walk around only during the day.
Paid the same price this time, for the same type of room, as I have in the past, and got a much larger room. This wasn't an issue for this visit, but it is unsettling to know that you can reserve completely different rooms without being aware of it. First room was the length of the bed and twice and wide. Only furniture was the bed and one chair (for a matrimonial suite). Second room was a bit less wide but over twice as long, and included a desk, a chair, and an armoire. The location was also not right next to the stairs, like the first room was. Overall, a much better room for the same price and under the same title of "Matrimonial Suite."
Wifi is basically non-existent within rooms, though is usable in the courtyard and the lobby/restaurant area. There are also some computers for guest usage.
