clean rooms excellent service great breakfast and of course with a pretty receptionist! yes that's you jessica! =)
The location, the excellent breakfast, the huge room.
No English TV! Usually we can find BBC or CNN.......
I liked the location.
It was extremely dirty. I cleaned some of our rooms myself. I was scolded by the water in the shower as the temperature kept changing. Very noisy, no sleep. The staff did not resolve these problems when asked. We changed rooms, then just cancelled the rest of our stay there.
Location, But Not Much Else
TOO MUCH To Detail !!!!!!!!!!!!
Very cosy place, quiet, felt very safe due to staff opening doors only for known people, got a huge room with two chambers; volume of TV in patio (world championship!) turned down during breaks (very considerate!)
Price was too high for our limited budget, yet worth the price (good value!)
It is located in the old town, next to the Ronda which is good if you have little time in Quito and want to see the old town.
Our room had a window on the lobby, it was very loudy when guests arrived in the middle of the night. Least comfortable beds in Ecuador (which is very bad). Too expensive for what you get.
nothing to do around, not clean and loud floors
The rooms are spacious. The breakfasts are filling. The location is excellent. The showers are strong and hot.
We have been there 3 times, each time in different rooms. The first time, the room was clean but the shower was stopped up and leaked onto the floor. The TV was not working. The second time, the shower was great and the room Was huge but the Wi-Fi was really bad, the computer weren't working, and the laundry was just thrown in a bag and all wrinkled for which we paid $3 a lb.Eighteen dollars for the 2 of us. The last time, the room was so dirty it made me sick, hair all over the floor, dust bunny's in the corners, bathroom..yukk.And our bed fell apart in the middle of the night....the slats just fell on the floor. I can't believe they couldn't have known about it before..just. didn't take the time to fix it right.
Nice staff and helpful
Not really clean
Great colonial architecture and in good shape. Walking distance to main plaza in historic center of quito.
It take long for taxi rides of 3km or +... Streets are complicated...
The portion size for breakfast could have been bigger.
Small and cozy hostel, the location was absolutely excellent and the staff were so helpful, they were always there to help and give us advice.
The breakfast wasn't satisfactory, the portions were tiny and left me hungry every time!
5 of 6 staff were excellent. The best included breakfast I had in ecuador. Location good.
They could use thicker drapes . The room with a window opening into the lobby is light all night. Turn the TV in the lobby off at 10:00pm at the latest.
Central location, friendly staff
no heating (and in January at night it is 8-10C)
Nice looking hotel. Good location.
Went without hot water for 36hrs even after complaining on several occasions. Staff appeared lazy and rude, breakfast was awful. Place is noisy due to squeeky floorboards and poor soundproofing.
Staff courteous, staff helpful, I was allowed to use kitchen anytime.
Short supply of hot water. No brkfst 2nd day. Bedpillows were very uncomfortable.
The location is good, very near La Ronda and the historical center
Initially we had a room with no window and an outside bathroom, a couple of days later we swapped the room with another customer..... They dont clean the room every day and they dont change the towels very often neither. Few days we had problems with hot water. It is very difficult to sleep since you can hear everything going in the hotel… In general, the location was good but I would not recommend this place. .
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fair and free. The location is wonderful, near everything on the Old City.
The rooms are very small.
Big room, good breakfast, great location, very clean. Hot water for showers. Good value for the money. Would stay there again.
Wooden floors creak loudly when you walk. Rooms were pretty cold in the evening (Oct), but they give you plenty of blankets to keep warm
The staff was very nice and accomodating. Our "room" was huge, undoubtedly intended for more people. The breakfast was great and the location was right in the heart of the Historic City (directly across from La Ronda, a very quaint shopping and entertainment street.
If you want to use a credit card you need to anticipate as they can't handle it on site. You have to got 5 (?) minutes away to handle it and if you're trying to get to the airport, those are 5 (?) you can't risk. Either come with cash, or inquire ahead of time.
