The hotel was a great and comfortable, the staff was great the owners and their son named Henry were awesome! friendly and a truly nice people. I will certainly recommend this hotel. I will be staying here next time I visit Cuenca.

The Balcones is a terrific colonial style hotel, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace is really nice and the restaurant is excellent. The staff are all friendly, very ex-pat helpful and knowledgeable. We would stay there again any time.

We ran out of hot water one morning and they couldn't figure out why, although it didn't repeat. And, the WiFi seemed to go in and out too frequently.

It was a pleasure staying at Hotel Boutique Los Balcones. The staff was amazing and the hotel beautiful. They offered great food and superb service. Everyone spoke English. They even offered FREE calls to the USA. We love everything about this hotel and would recommend it to everyone.

The staff was outstanding, and spoke English. The rooms were larger and comfortable and close to attractions. The free morning breakfast and coffee was great.I can not say enough about how helpful the staff was during our visit. Will stay there again.

This is a beautiful hotel, an old colonial house furbished with loving care. The staff are brilliant, all very courteous and helpful. The hotel is only three blocks from the main plaza and cathedrals. Breakfast is varied, plentiful and interesting, and served on the roof terace, The hotel serves evening meals, we had three very good meals here..

As all over Cuenca, the traffic is busy and congested in the day, making it noisy even with double glazing. We were not disturbed at night.

A great character hotel with lots of atmosphere. Comfy beds, double glazing, good wifi, great breakfast, good restaurant food, large room. Friendly, helpful staff. We booked for three nights and stayed for several more.

Our particular room had a very awkward bathroom.

The staff was incredible...the young lady at the front desk was amazing..there was no request too great for her to complete..She dealt with finding doctors and drug stores for guests to calling taxis and giving directions...other staff too were always available to help whether it be for an extra coffee to assisting with computor issues.

Owner and staff make it a very nice place to stay. Food is very good there also. The rooms are spacious.

We did not have a balcony, as advertised. Not much sunlight in rooms. A bit pricy for Ecuador.

Wonderful Hotel; Wonderful service; Wonderful location. A lovely Spanish style hotel that retains its character throughout. The rooms are spacious, and decorated with appropriate styled furnishings, as well as each with their own personal balcony. Separate shower and toilet, while both small in size, are very cleverly concealed, enabling the bedroom to retain its character. Service and attention were always immediate. Also very well located for all of the main sights.

Weak and intermittent wifi signal. Very lengthy (20 minutes), check out process..

THE Staff was absolutely phenomenal, the service was excellent and the food was awesome. very friendly and personable, they catered to your every need, would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone!!!!!!!!

The staff was definitely the highlight, so friendly and helpful with all of our questions and requests, day or night. I love to drink herbal tea and was happy that the large water jug, situated steps outside of my room, dispensed hot water as well as cold. I could fill my tea mug at any time. Breakfasts were included: lovely fresh fruit salads and juices, eggs done to order with ham or bacon, french toast, pancakes, etc. All tasty and filling. This hotel is very attractive with the typical open courtyard central dining area and the rooms encircling that on the floors above. Lovely decor and great beds too!

The router had to be re-booted when we lost our wi-fi connection. This happens at other hotels as well so it is something that I have experienced before. It is an annoyance but is easily fixed.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. a good breakfast was provided on a lovely terrace each morning. On site restaurant was very good.

reserved a double but ended up with a room with 3 beds. balcony had items on it when we arrived.

Staff was EXTRAORDINARY helpful and willing to please. Can't wait to go back when the restaurant is up and fully running.

The decor was very good & tastefully done. Reception & service staff provided excellent, prompt and friendly service, with good support in English. Dinner & breakfast were excellent. Close location to the Centro was real value for money. I have recommended Los Balcones to my associates here at San Carlos sugar mill.

Very well situated hotel, near everything. Henri, the manager and every other employee of the hotel have been of great help with everything, giving us advice on getting around and going as far as negociating a very good deal for a private car to the coast. We would gladly stay again at Los Balcones and recommend you do too.

Hardwood floors were squeaky, and hard to keep clean, but Cuenca is a dusty town. A little noise coming from the street but with the three doors closed you could barely notice. Restaurant will close early if things are too quiet but the staff will do everything to accomodate if its closed.

The house is a very hospitable place to be, we would use your premises again .

The only wrinkle, is that for a hotel of this calibre, the negation of a few bottles of water for the room, made me feel as though my prescence was not needed, that you had lots of business. A bottle of water will take you a long way with your clients. Don't skimp on the water.

This was the best hotel we stayed in in Ecuador (although also the most expensive). The location is fine, near the centre but not so close that it's noisy at night. The room was big and clean, the shower excellent, and the staff very pleasant.

It's a 10/15 minute walk from the main nightlife/restaurants and the streets are pretty quiet at night...worth taking a taxi back late in the evening.

Great hotel,fantastic staff who went out of their way to make us feel very much at home.Lovely suite, with 2 bedrooms, 2bathrooms, sitting area & dining, with large kitchen.All the rooms were recently updated with fantastic new showers. From the owner, Janette & her son Henry, to all the staff...David, Carla,Secundo & Ellie....these folks made our stay an absolute joy. So much so, that we have rented an apartment in the annex for 2 months when we return in July. They are also currently putting in a brand new restaraunt that will provide a great menu all day, every day.
