Incredible experience. Great location. Even better staff.

What is there not to like???

A lovely couple own the hotel, Matt speaks English and can give directions and help translate. The staff are very nice and courteous, breakfast everyday was delicious, and different. The cabanas are all self contained are comfortable, may is when the wind comes up and the sound of the surf roaring is great! I'd stay again. It's not luxury, but we loved it.

A chest of drawers, or more shelves would be nice.

Bit of a trek to find it (especially if driving in the dark) - but this is more the result of poor roadsigns in Ecuador than a problem with the Hotel.. however worthwhile once you find it!

Right on the beach, very helpful staff, owner speaks English and made us feel at home. The rooms are large and comfortable. AC works great, and the TV has some channels for the non spanish speaking folks. Close to Manta, and a taxi is only $10. I will stay here again.

Hotel Marianita only accepts cash for payment. This was a bit confusing when we booked on line with a credit card only to find out cash payment was expected at check out.

We stayed in hotel Santa Marianita for sevaral days and we liked it very much. Right on the beach of the ocean, calm, safe and clean, it's the perfect place to lintern to the silence and relax. Owner of the hotel Dora was very helpful. We lost our luggage on the way to manta and Dora managed to ogdanaize delivery. She did her best trying to help us. Definetely without her help we would have to go to Quito to take our luggage. Breakfast is very good. It's served on the veranda with perfect view to the ocean. Despite the place is very empty of people, it's quite easy to get to Menta

We've booked two well appointed rooms for four days (there are overall only three rooms); the hostal is located nearby of the beach with a nice view on the sea

The "hotel" has no service during the week; the staff is present only for a short time in the morning when the kitchen is open for the breakfast; this is regarding to the organisation a desaster; after two days we recieved only on inquiry the first cleaning of the rooms; in all parts of the rooms are ants; for the supervisor her own private kite surf training is more important as the guests; there is absolutely no infrastructure on this beach; the youth hostel is to be qualified only for people without any kind of basic requirements on a simple hostal; the price for this total package is an impudentness

We liked our hostess Dora, the stuff, their little bar-restorant, the people who come just for a visit , the circle of friends of the owner, longing to change the quite ordinary place into something special ( and she is succseeding ). Actually the place is ideal for those who wants to master kitesurfing and for those who want to just escape big city. Hotel Marianita is the most pleasant spot on the whole Plaza Bonita beach We keep it close to our hearts Igor and Elena

You can't avoid smashed glass after Weekend parties in surrounding areas, outside the Hotel Marianita. Human nature is same everywhere. It happens along my streets in quiet California town too

Everything, the location, the place, wonderful

Room was quite modern and the staff were very friendly and accomodating.

L'accueil et le service de Matthew, l'équipement et l'aménagement du logement et du bar, confortables et de très bon goût.

La plage indiquée comme dangereuse (baignade interdite). Les moyens d'accès très limites (en stop ou en taxi couteux!). Les tarifs du logement et des repas: le double de ce qu'on a pu rencontrer a prestations équivalente.

La comodidad y prestaciones de sus habitaciones. La ubicación es excelente y los dueños hacen el lugar mas agradable.

La excelente predisposición y cordialidad de su propietaria, Dora. Nosotros cancelamos la estadía antes de lo pactado y no nos cobró ningún recargo. Además nos olvidamos un artículo personal y nos lo alcanzó hasta nuestro siguiente hospedaje en Manta. La ubicación del hotel es sobre la playa misma de Santa Marianita (paradisíaca por cierto) y las instalaciones son muy limpias. Ideal para quienes gusten de vacaciones de relax y alejados del ruido o para quienes practiquen kitesurf.

Una de las cabañas es un container ambientado y el baño no tiene puerta, sólo una cortina. Esa habitación no tiene TV. Lo siguiente no respecta al hotel, pero el pueblo de Santa Marianita es muy chico y está arriba, por lo que prácticamente no hay nada más para hacer que estar en el hotel y una vez que cae el sol no hay vida nocturna allí, salvo que el pasajero cuente con vehículo propio.

Maravilloso el lugar, sobre la playa y con una vista inmejorable de los atardeceres. Sin palabras para la amabilidad de sus dueños y la disposición para hacernos sentir cómodos y brindar el mejor servicio. Calidad y excelente gusto en la ambientación de los espacios y detalles, geniales los desayunos..... qué más?

Dora y Mateo sus propietarios son muy amables y siempre están pendientes de los huéspedes y sus necesidades.

Pondría puerta en el baño.

Nos gusto mucho la cabaña en la que alojamos, especialmente por la amplitud de su espacio interior, por los detalles decorativos de sus rincones (como el hermoso mueble de madera del baño) y las enormes y deliciosas camas con maravillosa vista al inmenso oceano pacífico; también el fresco viento sur que hacía olvidar que nos encontrábamos en el ecuador geográfico y nos invitaba a soñar tendidos en la hamaca al lado afuera de la ventana. Nos agradó mucho el buen sentido comercial de los dueños, práctico, sencillo y amable y a un precio justo.

Tal vez diríamos que se echaba de menos la rica fruta ecuatoriana a la hora del desayuno o, más prosaicamente, una puerta, aunque fuera transparente, que separara el baño de la cocina.

Se mencionaba área de recreación para niños, pero estas no estaban habilitadas o no las tenían.

La buena disposición de su administradora y la calidez de sus empleados. Nosotros fuimos para conocer el lugar y Dora nos facilitó los paseos que queríamos, consiguió y su personal nos preparó, unas ricas langostas (que hasta ese momento no habíamos podido conseguir, y hacía 14 días que estábamos en Ecuador y 5 días entre Guayaquil y Salinas). Nos sentimos muy seguras y atendidas, sin que ésto nos agobiara. Con libertad para movernos y pasear. Realmente fue una experiencia muy buena, para recomendar. Es más, estamos pensando en un segundo viaje, con un grupo más grande, parando en en el Hotel Marianita más días. Ir de pasada por Salinas y bajar por la ruta del sol hasta Santa Marianita, alojarnos allí y realizar varios paseos, a la Ciudad Eloy Alfaro y Montecristi, a la reserva de Pacoche con los monos aulladores y la diversidad de aves, un paseo en lancha para avistar más cerca las ballenas Jorobadas y un par de días libres para disfrutar del entorno. Se nos brindó todo lo que se nos había ofrecido por internet. Otro aspecto muy importante es la higiene del lugar, todo muy limpio. Asimismo, cabe destacar el buen gusto con el que han sido equipadas las cabañas.

Pondría puertas en los baños y agarraderas de seguridad para entrar y sostenerse dentro de la bañera. Sobre Santa Marianita: Espero que no construyan el malecón que tienen programado, ni permitan que los grandes hoteles conviertan este hermoso lugar en otro "sitio de cualquier parte".

La playa, el hotel, la tranquilidad, es muy bonito , lo recomiendo 100%.
