Hotel San Andres  

The hotel (the building) is beautiful, located close to the core of the town, staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good.

Nothing not to like

Our room was spacious and the windows opened up to a delightful inner court yard with some trees and a hammock. It was very quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff was great. They arranged a tour for us and gave us accurate directions.

The breakfast was only OK and the same every day...the fruit juices though are wonderful

It is in the heart of Cuenca. There were very few people in the hotel.

My husband and I went to cuenca from November 19 to Nov 23 and booked hotel San andres with booking.com because of the reviews . It was well worth it. Hotel San Andres is a beautiful colonial hotel in one of the historic streets in Cuenca very close to everything you can walk everywhere from this hotel. I would like to say thanks to Sonia Valeria pablo and Andrea for the hospitality. The breakfast is included and is a very good breakfast . Egss fresh juice toast and coffe, nice fresh bread. The rooms are very clean and also the bathrooms. We had the gardenview room which looks into the nice backyard of the hotel. If you go to Cuenca don't hesitate to book this hotel . If you go to cuenca take the city tour double decker bus 5 dollar for two hours Also if you go to cuenca go to the Ingapirka ruins the hotel will arange that for you. I hope this Review will be helpfull when traveling to cuenca.

It was well located in the historic district of Cuenca.

The 'breakfast' was minimal.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Liked the location because we were able to walk all over town. We visited museums, churches, parks, shopping and restaurants.

The only problem I had was that in our room the bathtub, where we took our showers was very, very narrow so with the curvature of the sides of the tub we were afraid that we would slip and fall. We were very careful.

wifi didn't work in the room as the signal was too weak so you had to go to the common area but this was no major problem.

Todo muy bien. Habitaciones muy espaciosas y confortables. Buen desayuno y muy céntrico.

El diseño colonial

El hotel es una hermoso hotel colonial con habitaciones muy bien ambientadas. esta ubicado en un lugar muy estrategico de la ciudad de Cuenca. Limpio y con todos los servicios (wifi y agau caliente) perfectos

El desayuno no era a horario y no era muy abundante. El wifi no llegaba a la habitacion

La amabilidad y buena predisposición de los empleados.

Hay poca iluminación en el cuarto. El desayuno es poco variado y le faltan productos de bajas calorías.

La atención del personal. El silencio. La limpieza. La ubicación.

Desayuno repetido. Deben tener un ventilador de techo en cada habitación. No circula aire en las noches, raro pero hace calor en las habitaciones.

Our room was in the back, facing the backyard, it was quite and had good space with two double beds.

The hotel staff need more training in how to present the hotel facility, the staff were cold and not interrested in engaging in a conversation. We asked about interesting activities hapening in town and they did not know. Parking information was not clear, we end up paying the full amount charged by the city parking.

Excellent staff very nice people

Exceptionally clean, comfortable beds, nice decor, 32 inch flat screen TV, location, FANTASTIC shower with never ending hot water, the best in Ecuador (not known for good and tot showers :( ) Good coffee. Very helpful hotel manager.

No WiFi in the room Service, though, but indifferent, Given that it is a an expensive, for Ecuador, hotel (around $50/day, single, with all taxes included), they should do better The breakfast cooking/serving person was not there one morning and had to bee found, though I was one of the very few guests
