Staff is really friendly. Very clean hotel It is nice to have a fridge. Wifi is excellent!
Overall we had a nice stay at Hotel Santa Fe. The room is clean and comfortable and the included breakfast is excellent. The hotel is centrally located and the staff are friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi is passable for sending emails.
The price was quite high compared to other hotels in town.
Just 1 1/2 blocks from one of the main streets. Pool was nice. Breakfast included a bread basket, granola, yogurt, milk, juice, coffee, fresh fruit, cheese, ham, and eggs made to order. Owner that lives on site was pleasant and available to help make arrangements for tours.
Room and bathroom were small. We only had a standard room with 2 beds. The breakfast was the same everyday. I thought the room was a bit pricey for the size. We kept getting beetles in our room.
Close to attractions; the path to Tortuga Bay, Puerta Ayora docks, and the Darwin Center.
Access at front entry was not clearly signed. Door locks to rooms were not easy to work. The ceiling fan in one room was noisy, barely operational.
The room and common area were excellent. I didn't really need it, but the air conditioner was an added bonus. Wifi was excellent. The bathroom was very clean and hot water in the shower was amazing. Room also had a safe to lock important stuff in. Breakfast was good.
Although there was a gigantic dead bolt on the door, housekeeping would opened the windows during the day to let the breeze in. That by itself was great, but the window screens have no latches. I know that technically screens are pretty easy to break through, but in this case you didn't even have to break anything, just push them open and step over the low window sill in to the room. The area felt safe, but I like it to be slightly harder for an intruder.
The hotel owner knew who we were when we arrived and our rooms were ready. She gave us a map of the city and pointed out some places to visit. She checked with us several times during the day to make sure we had what we needed. And served us breakfast early so we could meet our cruise ship on time.
Some members of our party were bothered by the beetles in our rooms. Not really the fault of the hotel owner during a beetle invasion.
This is a great place to stay all around! Felt very comfortable there, everyone was extremely nice and helpful, super clean, and a great/quite part of town. Thank you!
Marilena was extremely accomodating & very hospitable. Well done!
We were very well hosted. They let us check in early & check out late free of charge, they were very helpful with getting us informed about things to do around town & were even given a 5% discount card for a very good restaurant in town (il giardino). Recommend!
Great location closest to Tortuga Bay Great Customer Services Pool is small but refreshing in the afternoon Clean A/C and shower really good Relatively modern facilities
Close (1 block) to some good street eateries, otherwise this hotel is just average
Location is a bit off of the main tourist streets, not such good value for money (but maybe that's the case with hotels everywhere in Puerto Ayora?)
The hotel was very clean and located just two blocks from the main street in Puerto Ayora. Another two blocks to the south, and you're at the main waterfront in Puerto Ayora. The hotel has a pool and comfortable seating poolside. On a side note, I left my camera in a taxi on the way to the airport. I sent a email to the the management asking if they knew the taxi driver who picked us up at the hotel. (Puerto Ayora is a very small city.) Long story short, they were able to send the camera to me!
Everything! Location, the staff, the owners! Me and My friends cant wait to get back! 100%Recommended
This hotel was better than described on internet and photo. Proximity to town, perfect. Comfortable beds, crisp clean linens, air conditioning worked perfectly. The perfect choice for Puerto Ayora.
No faults with this hotel.
rooms doors shut with big noise
The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Our baby got sick and they changed our linen every day, and they were very concerned about the situation. Really nice people. The room was spacious and sparkling clean, close to the main street in Puerto Ayora and Tortuga Bay Beach. Highly recommend!
Booking.com didn't include the taxes in the final price, so when we payed it was more than we have thought we were paying when we booked online (it is booking.com's fault, not the hotel's tough).
This is a nice small hotel with nice rooms. The staff didn't speak any English but attempted to help as much as possible.
We were a little surprised by the price--it was a little more expensive than it should've been, especially when they added 12%vat tax and another 12% service fee. The pool is tiny.
Value for money. Quadruple suite was nice.
Problem with non functioning toilet. Breakfast could be served better.
Staff were excellent and friendly.
Wifi was spotty and generally poor reception. Hotel was a little out of the way.
The location was perfect. Just about a block from the entrance to Tortuga Bay, and only about 2 blocks from the harbor.
The breakfasts could be varied a bit. Its the same each day. The rooster could go.
Clean rooms. short walk to everything, is on the road leading to tortuga bay. Local cheap restaurants a couple of blocks down on the same street
Small, dated bathroom. We booked the room for $158 (2nights) but after taxes & services charges it was $195. The girl gave us the bill the night before checking out, and I asked to pay then- she said to pay the guy the next morning at breakfast. The guy clearly had no idea about the transaction and had no change so 2 nights cost $200, and you can get cheaper accommodation in Puerto ayora that is equivalent quality.
The room was a reasonable size and the breakfast provided at the attached cafe was nice. Wifi worked ok and had a water/ice machine for guests.
Very expensive for what you get especially when they were doing renovations on the rooms, with the power tools and hammers starting around 7.30am. Despite bookings.com indications, the hotel would not accept credit cards - Cash only.
The location a block or so out of the main action was appealing to me- less hustle and bustle, taxis, etc out front, and shortened the walk to Playa Tortuga. A nice perk is the chilled water dispenser in the courtyard, convenient and money-saving to refill your own container.
Seems to me all Puerto Ayora hotels priced about a class above their actual class. But very comfortable and clean for me.
Hotel Santa Fe has got to be one of the best hotels in Puerto Ayora and very close to the city centre..! The rooms are simply excellent and very well maintained. There is a pool and the staff is helpful in all regards. They are always willing to assist you if you require assistance for a day tour or something like that. It made our stay on the Galapagos Islands very comfortable and memorable.
