Our stay in "Twin Eco Suites Galapagos" was a real pleasure. The hotel is small and in the countryside at approx 1 km from the center of the Bellavista village. The rooms are simple but spacious, clean, and surrounded by magnificent vegetation and garden. Of course the downside of this quiet and relax location is that you are at approx 7 km from Puerto Ayora, but the owners will call a taxi anytime you need it (and you will be charged the true cost of the ride, not the tourist one), or they will lend you some bicycles for free (It is easy to ride downhill to Puerto Ayora. To return uphill to the hotel you can take a taxi, all taxis are pick-ups so they can take your bicycle on their platform). It is owned and run by a family. They are really nice persons who will do anything to accomodate your stay and help you. They speak only spanish but if you don't you will still be able to discuss with them in front of their computer using Google translator. You can have a lunch or diner at the hotel. Hot water is supplied (sometimes you might need to wait a few minutes to get it). One thing to mention is the need to close the windows at night to avoid being woken up at 5:30 am by the nearby rooster !
Plenty of oxigen, and fresh food, homely beverages like coconut or pineapple juice or diffent kind of herbal teas, Near the beach and plenty of opportunities to exercise.Esperanza provides excellent hospitality.
Cocks in the vicinity were to loudly, It has a great humidity percentage
Great, helpful staff, large comfortable rooms, large bed. Location is away from it all, but that can be good. Assistance with tour planning.
Roosters (but, remember where you are!), same thing for breakfast every day.
The surroundings and peacefulness.
The main helper was very like Manuel from Fawlty Towers. The taxi they called me didn't give me any change and when I told them about it, they did nothing. It's a very long way from the port and taxis add up, especially if they are ripping you off. The bikes at the hostal are in very poor condition.
The team here can't do enough for you. John is the friendliest and most helpful guy you could imagine with a warm smile. The food is excellent and Esperanza is a brilliant cook. We ate here every day and had the best food on the island
The hotel is located in the hillside and can be damp and misty which is not the same as on the coast. The taxi to Puerto Ayora is $4 so manageable but takes 20 minutes.
Peacefulness of the area and the surroundings. Attentive staff and a good breakfast.
It was a very long way out of the centre up a big hill. Possible to ride down the hill but the state of their bikes meant impossible to ride up the hill. Taxi fares added up. Cold and misty up there in the wet season, too cold for the pool which was why I booked the room.
The staff was as nice and helpful as any place I have ever stayed
A beautiful and peaceful spot to relax and unwind. The best food we had in the galapagos! The staff were amazing hosts and made everything easy for a family traveling with young children. Not far in a taxi from town and a different part of the island that really should be discovered.
The staff are wonderful, so friendly and informative. Especially John. Our room was big, spotless and had a private balcony. The grounds are fabulous with various fruit trees, exotic plants and pool & hammock area. We loved the location in the highlands away from the hussel and bussel of the port. Expect to take taxis or rent a bike
Staff was welcoming, warm,My son was in Wheeler Chair due Military injury connected . the room was excellent staff did every to accomnated . food was excellent.
Its good place to stay
This guesthouse is not where you want to stay. It is far from everything and there is no local transport to centre. We were stuck in a place where there was nothing to do and where staff was away for long periodes.
Nice garden and view, spacious. Owners friendly.
No hot water, bugs got into bathroom, overpriced, not a real pool, staff a bit amateur, problems taking credit.
We felt so welcome and cared for. It was like staying with a family that wanted your experience of Galapagos to be amazing. GREAT STAFF :)
Very very nice staff. Problems are solved. Great rooms.
As it is 15 minutes drive from Puerto Ayora, it is not very convenient. Also more rainy then in PA town. Fairly pricey. Patchy wifi as often in the Galapagos.
