Staff very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Walking distance of pretty much everything. Nice stay would go back.
Absolutely recommended option to stay in Puerto Ayora. The hotel is in very good conditions, confortable, clean, good breakfast and the staff is super kind and always willing to help you. I stayed there and we are(my family and I) very satisfied with the service and instalations. Completely recommended.
The rooms were clean and simple, all that you need on the galapagos! The owner was very involved and really friendly. He even made sure we had enough water before heading out to tortuga bay! Highly recommended!
The wifi did not work perfectly, but we also experienced this at different restaurants, so this is just a minor point on an otherwise very pleasant stay!
personal effort of the land lord friendliness helps with special requests
Very large, comfortable room. I asked for a refrigerator and they got one, stocked with beer at a reasonable price. Very nice staff. Friendly exchange students, where a joy to talk with at breakfast. The room was perfectly clean. The hotel was all tiled and the hallways were both in and outside. You can see the bay from the upper floors.
Initially I felt the hotel was too far from town, but after three nights, I enjoyed the 10minute walk back. The city seems perfectly safe and there were plenty of lights along the way. The street the hotel is on is nicely paved with good looking houses, but some neighboring streets are more run down.
Luis was very helpful and welcoming, as were the others we met there. The breakfast was very good.
At $142, this was expensive. We stayed at Hotel Fiesta on our return for $100 pn and enjoyed this more. There are no grounds (garden) as such, with rooms on a number of levels. The Wifi is very slow but appreciate that may be a Puerto Ayora thing. The pillows were anything but comfortable - this should be easy to remedy.
Luis is an excellent host. Although a hotel, the Verdyazul feels more like a bed and breakfast with the personal attention given by Luis and his family. Close to the Darwin Research Center, and walking distance to the main commercial strip. Only 1 dollar for a taxi anywhere in Puerto Ayora. A taxi driver, Andres, met us at the Baltra airport with a sign with our name on it. Everyone very polite and informative. All around a great experience.
Wifi works but could be better. But, we didn't come here for the wifi, so not a big deal.
Great staff, dashed out to welcome us with a bottle of cold water and took care of our luggage. Luis was always on hand to help us or answer our questions. Spacious room. Superb breakfast. Free bike hire a bonus.
The double bed was two singles pushed together and was quite hard. Poor wifi.
Location: Quiet yet everything in town easily accessible. Manager Luis: super friendly and helpful. Ask about his reforestation project! Breakfast: Not extravagant but certainly adequate with fruits, cereal, yoghourt, eggs made to order, and sometimes meats.
Internet slow and unreliable ... but 1. that's like almost everywhere on the islands, and 2. you're on vacation so get off the grid :-) ! Having rooms by the breakfast area (we didn't) might be a bit noisy at times if you're a late sleeper.
The proprietors, a charming family, were extremely friendly and helpful with anything we needed and made us feel at home
There was nothing not to like. This hotel is a winner and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to The Galapagos Islands
location, laundry right down the street, nice breakfast, easy walk to good places to eat, quiet safe neighborhood, lovely family operators.
Staff was great. Location of hotel was perfect just walking distance from everything. Owner had great connections and several suggestions for us no need to purchase a package. The hotel and island was very safe and pleasant. Breakfast was very good and fresh! Pool was great way to end the day for the kids.
Wifi was not strong maybe the location of the room? But was available in eating area and front desk.
Easy walking to Puerto Ayora and Darwin Center.Staff was accommodating.Breakfast basic but adequate.
Wifi very slow. This is common in Galapagos
View of bay from room good shower proximity to seafront air Conditioning worked very well free water at reception
No fridge in room Tv channels fuzzy
