Wander along the narrow cobbled streets of the medieval city of Tallinn and marvel at the fashion forward culture existing comfortably alongside tradition.
The 14th-century church spires wind their way into the sky on top of the Toompea hill which rises in the center of town. Outside the city walls modernity reveals itself through soviet-style concrete buildings and contemporary glass skyscrapers.
A multitude of shopping opportunities are available especially along Viru Street, with several rising Estonian designer boutiques side by side with traditional crafts of woven fabrics, pottery and glass blowing. The café culture abounds and visitors can soak up the friendly atmosphere between purchases. Restaurants on the colorful Raekoja Plats offer a chance to try traditional Estonian fare.

Tallinn is perfect destination for families with kids.
Tallinn is perfect destination for families with kids. It has probably most beautiful Old Town. Really good to spend a day just by walk around. There was ice ring near Niguliste church. Cool, but quite expensive.
We walked from Old Town to Proto Invention factory. Long way, but super cool streets to walk trough. If You have kids - Proto is a must go place.
Another great place for kids is Super Skypark at T1 shopping centre. We spent another day around there.
In Old Town there are lots of restaurants to choose from. We wanted to try out medieval atmosphere at the 3 Dragons. Did not get, what was expected. Too expencive and too little food, and too small place.

I have never really heard of Tallinn as a destination city.
I have never really heard of Tallinn as a destination city. I have to say I was very impressed by the city and I really had a lot of fun. Their cuisine is very nice and their sauna/cold dipping was a really interesting activity to try. I did not have time to see their natural reserves, but they definitely looked like a nice area to visit. All the city highlights are worth visiting and it was really easy to get around, either by bus/tram or walking.

Tallinn is worth the visit from spring to autumn, but probably skip it in winter unless you're a glutton for cold and darkness.
Take the tours or do some research before you come because there's a lot to Tallinn and Estonian history that's very cool to experience and not immediately apparent. It's not like other old towns where all the historical spots are always clearly marked.
And if you go for business there are any number of (usually high-tech-related) conferences, expos, etc. Estonia is in the top 5 countries for business unicorns! Make sure to visit if that's your thing.

The old town architecture, churches and museums were plentiful and very interesting. Most museums charge so it is worth considering getting a Tallinn Card.
If you are going to visit several. Walking the cobbled streets was a very pleasant experience. The TV tower and botanical gardens are well worth a visit and are just a 20 minute bus ride away. The public transport is plentiful, quick and efficient. There is also the possibility of day trips by train to Vartu and ship to Helsinki.

The old town is rather touristy, but stunningly beautiful.
The old town is rather touristy, but stunningly beautiful. Even as a European I was swept away by the medieval character.
The Rottermann quarter is absolutely striking in its juxtaposition of the old and ultra-modern.
The town is very walkable, if you want to visit the top attractions. For anything else, we opted for a Bolt rite, which was always around 5 EUR.
Museums are generally very good - interesting modern, a well-equipped.
We enjoyed the Peppersack restaurant in the old town - even though it is very touristy, the food was solid, and the atmosphere very pleasant. The same is tru for the III Draakon Medieval-style tavern.
I went running every morning. It felt very safe, and in less than an hour I could enjoy the Old Town, Rottermann quarter and the Kalamaja seaside district including the outdoor exposition of the Maritime museum.

Great for a mini break over the Chrissy period.
Great for a mini break over the Chrissy period.
Thoroughly enjoyed exploring the old town, and all the little streets and lane ways/alleys.
Not far from the sprawling expansion of the growing city around it in the event you need some last minute essentials
Felt safe as a solo female traveller at all times .
Love an historical city walk and there are plenty to see and do in tallinn.
This is a beautiful hotel very close to Tallinn City Centre. Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. The spa is very relaxing. Breakfast is wonderful, lots of traditional and international options to suit all tastes and lovely views. Wifi was strong and TV has a lot of european stations. Chocolate hour in the lobby was a fun experience. Also there is a lovelysnug where you can buy wine/spirits via a prepaid card if the bar is closed. 10 minutes walk to the old town and 5 minutes to a great supermarket for everything you may need.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a Rixwell hotel in Tallinn, and it was a delightful experience overall. The location is superb, nestled in the heart of the historic center and just minutes away from the main square. The staff was exceptionally helpful, and the room was spacious and impeccably clean, offering a beautiful view from the window. The buffet breakfast was tasty. A highly recommended stay for those seeking comfort and convenience in the enchanting city of Tallinn.
Very clean and comfortable hotel in a great location. We were upgraded to double room from small double room which we really appreciated as the price we paid for a small one was even cheaper than for a standard room so we got a great view and pretty spacious room instead than one we booked. Although check-in is automated, the staff at the box office is really nice. Pretty cheap parking in the underground parking lot was nice. Short walking distance to the uptown and old town.
It being 2 mins away from the airport. It is very organized and clean. The breakfast was amazing and the porridge was to die for. I accidentally left my ring in my room. I called the front desk and they had it. The integrity of this hotel is unmatched by any other hotels. I’m grateful to the staff and the manager for their kindness, and sincerity in helping me retrieve my ring. I will definitely visit this hotel again without hesitation.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel in an excellent part of Old Town Tallinn. It is very close to everything but nestled a little off to the side of old town which makes it a nice and quiet location. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and really wanted to make sure we knew where to go and answer any questions we might have had. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms are beautifully appointed, clean and quiet.
Seems, the hotel building is ex-common house for students or workers. It causing some issues with rooms sound isolation. But in my visit everything was ok. Price/Quality is great, i am not sure if i could found something cheaper in Tallinn. 500 m is situated small grocery store. Hostess speaks on many languages. Breakfasts are great, presented everything. Also, they helped to people, who was in difficult situations.
The hotel is newly renovated and was very so clean, well designed and soooo comfortable. The staff were very lovely and friendly. The location is in the heart of the old town and everything is easily within walking distance. The breakfast was fresh and tasty with lots of variety.
I extended my trip by another night as I was enjoying Tallinn and Nunne boutique hotel so much! Would highly recommend this place.
I like the location which in central of old town.
The facilities are pretty complete. From the gameroom, kitchen, spot that you can work with your laptop, laundry room which pretty cheap (for 5eur), luggage room.
And the blanket fortunately thick enough for summer considering I'm from tropical country, summer in Estonia pretty cold for me.
And in the upper bed they provide 2 plugins and reading light.
Amazing stay, such a nice luxary hotel at the heart of Tallinn. Very elegant. Beautiful spacey rooms, spectacukar view from the window, comfortable temperature and beds. SPA was so nice and relaxing. We could highly recomnened if you wish to have just a perfect stay in Tallinn.
Comfy beds, good room size, plenty of space for hanging clothes, air conditioning.Breakfast was tasty and lots of choices. Great hotel if you are planing trip to Helsinki, D terminal is across the street, we departed from A terminal which is 7 minutes walk from the hotel.
Location is perfect to reach the ferry terminal in less than 10 minutes. Underground car parking is also perfect when outside temperature flirts with -15 and less.
Less than 10 minutes by foot from the old center too, It is one of the best hotels in Tallinn.
The boutique decor and overall cleanliness and comfort made for an exceptional three night stay. The facilities were modern and hotel staff was on call and swift to resolve any issues. Quiet, pleasant and walking distance from the city and port.
A lovely stay in a modern boutique hotel near the city centre. Room was very modern and clean. The staff was excellent - always extremely friendly and helpful. 100% would come back! Thank you!
Super friendly staff, excellent location like 5 minutes by foot from the Tallinn Bus Station, Airport is just like 5-10 minutes by car. Rimi near the hotel. Super clean bed.
