Beautiful hotel, in the middle of old town. Would be even better in summertime. The ventilation machine in the bathroom was quite noisy. |

The suite is fantastic In winter there are some air that enter from the window( near the bed in the suite courtyard)and from the dorr, and with outside -22 is not too much confortable |

Very efficient and helpful staff, decent sized room and very warm. bar area relaxing, breakfast good value for money. Nothing too much problem for the staff. Bar area shut at 11.00pm - lights just switched out as a signal! |

The hotel is excellently located in the city center. The facilities are very good and the room was nice, although a little small. This is an excellent boutique hotel and I will stay here again. The room was very small and smelt of cigarette smoke which I did not like. |

I use booking.com a lot (as much as twice a month), and do not usually take time to write a review, unless I feel that the existing reviews do not do justice to the hotel. Merchants House Hotel is one of those rare one-off hotels which combines excellent location, originality, impeccable design in an historic building and first class service. Highly recommended. |

We loved the rooms, which were very attractive and comfortable. The hotel is extremely central in a beautiful little street, 2 minutes' walk from the main square. Staff were friendly and efficient. We really loved staying there - very superior comfort. |
