The location is excellent. Some of the front desk staff unfriendly. Towels were missing, and no apologies when notified. Why does the receptionist always reply in English when adressed in Estonian? In my opinion the management should do some serious thinking about the staff's service attitude. The breakfast was very poorly organized, e.g. the coffee was fetched in a heavy container by the maid who had to climb that steep flight of stairs over and over again; not only risky for the person but also inconsiderate for the guests who had to wait meanwhile. Obviously there was only one coffee container in the house. Also the sausages and meatballs were unheated. All the time they ran out of plates, cups, table napkins.... The hotel looks pretty but works very badly. Not going there another time.

Location, nice. In general a very good cosy hotel.Provide a wonderful spa I didn't like the small room so I decided to move to the bigger one that was much nicer. When I was booking and looking at the photo it was impossible to realize how small it was. So I'd recommmend to change the photo to be clear for the customers.

Location and rooms with direct entrance from the street. 1. The receptionist was extremely slow. It took her some 15 minutes to find our booking details in her system. It was the first time we face such problems with a hotel booking our rooms through booking.com and I'm pretty sure it wasn't the sites fault and it wasn't a last minute booking as well. 2. Nobody warned us that the gates closing hotel's entrance from the street would be closed at night without a single way to open them yourself. We returned to the hotel at midnight, gates were closed and nobody responed to a "reception" button on the door. We had to look up the phone number and call a number of times before the receptionist picked the phone. It was below -10 degrees C and we waited for about 5 minutes outside.

Great location of hotel in the center of old town. Good restaurants in the hotel. Very pleasant design of hotel in wood and enough large rooms for double suite. Opportunity to use Spa procedures. Tasty breakfast with big choice of products, including fruits, and nice croissants. Very strange double bed, consisting of two single beds. Maybe there were not free suits with normal double bed

Location The premises are not really suitable / were not well adapted for a hotel. Even though it may technically qualify for 4 stars, the overall look and feel is on the hostel level. Some rooms even have bunk beds.

A small, cozy hotel with very service-minded and helpful staff both at reception and breakfast room. A neat and warm hotel room (outside temperature -24 Celcius!) with all the basic facilities. An excellent location in Old Town. Quiet neighbourhood without noisy bars etc. next doors. Bathroom small and a bit impractical for two ladies. We had booked a triple room for three persons but got a double room with an extra bed = camp bed, instead. We complained and the nice lady at the reception offered a single room for one of us. We were satisfied with this solution. Strange enough that Booking.com sells a triple room that - according to the receptionist - doesn't exist at this hotel.

I like: location, buffet, lift. I didn't like: hot water looks like coming from boiler and one evening I washed by cold water, temperature in room was low, and then normal again, in bathroom was dirty roof, tv has only 5 local channels, crazy system how to go into garage - I discover that it is possible using elevator! Somehow stuff decided that I prefer to use sauna in the mornings, and I didn't taste this "Spa" pleasures.

Very good location and a nice staff. Also, the room we had was quite big and we had a nice view. The only problem we had was that we were on the 5th floor, but the elevator only went up to the 3rd floor. Going up 2 flights of stairs with our luggage and no help in those very narrow wodden stairs was definitely not great. But I wouldn't say that was enough to put us off, it was still a very nice stay and I would still recommend the hotel.

English version: Following some drawbacks I and my girlfriend had in the hotel: 1) bad smell from the pipes (probably) of the bathroom and no aspirator functioning. 2) the smallest sink I have ever seen in any hotel of any star: impossible to wash himself! 3) noise from the cabinet 4) no basket in the bathroom 5) different images on booking in confront to what they gave us (especially for the bathroom), in our opinion 6) the price: 139€. We asked a discount for the dis-comfort to the reception and to talk with the director. It hasn't been possible for me to speack with the director (another flaw). Anyway, they conceded a bottle of champagne (=15 euro). We agreed for 4 Evian of 1 liter sold at 3,9€ by the hotel. I'll not come again in this hotel.

Excellent, friendly reception staff. Great city centre location. Beautifully decorated and luxurious feel to bedrooms, dining room etc. a touch of class and very historical too - exposed beams, well in reception etc. We used the Meriton Grand Spa's pools and sauna complex which is about a 15 minute walk from the Meriton Old Town Garden but very worth it! Free entry all day from 07.00-22.00 included in your room rate - use it!!! :-) Enjoy your stay! Quite hard to find initially - try Lai Street entrance for reception. Rooms are small with hardly any storage so left most of our possessions in suitcases so ok for a 2 or 3 night stay but any longer would be annoying due to lack of storage/space. Apart from these 2 points the stay was lovely!!!

Great location, hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The room was nice and breakfast was very good. Tea and coffee making facilities were available in the room but no tea or coffee provided (for 99 euros a night this wasn't so good). Also, would have appreciated some tourist leaflets in the room or at least a map of the old town.

“Nice little hotel without pretense a mere 10 minutes walk from the Old Town of Tallinn. Room was simple but very clean and adequate with everything we needed, and food in the restaurant was lovely. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Loved the fact that the hotel was litterally at the foot of Toompea Hill which has the castle and Estonian parliament, St Mary's Cathedral and several great viewpoints of the city.” Myriam, Dublin |
