Hotel Rocca al Mare    

Restaurant and the duck was great. Also the possibility to swim and use the sauna in the morning.

It is a good location to reach the zoo and the open air museum, otherwise quite far from the old town and the business city centre (8-10 EUR taxi, to be called in advance). There is a big mall just behind the corner (5 mins walk) with Mc Donanld's. Breakfast is rich although no espresso is served (within the price). The restaurant is nicely located (overlooking the sea) and the food is fine, prices reasonable.

The rooms are quite old and the smell of sewage from the toilet bothered me from time to time. I booked the spa a few hours in advance, as requested by the staff, but the jacuzzi temperature was not suitable for bathing. They did not reimburse the money (8 EUR per 1,5 hour per person) but offered some fruits as we went to dine on the same day.

Anthony who worked in reception was very friendly.

No facilities whatsoever. We arrived at 10.30pm , there was nothing to eat, or even a vending machine and no restaurants whatsoever that do deliveries or that were even open nearby . we had to eat crisps from our bag. No kettle to boil water in room and we were expected to pay 3.40euros for a hot drink!!!. No adaptor as we are from Ireland and had forgotten an adaptor for our chargers for mobile phones so had to go and buy one as hotel did not even have this. It was almost 10euros in the nearby shopping plaza. Staff did not go out of their way to be helpful. Customer service training is a necessity for the staff of this hotel. Refrigerator in our room did not work and we were told that a repair man would have to come but the reception would not even come up to the room to see if it was something simple. They knew that we were leaving the next day. All in all, we would have cancelled this hotel the first evening that we arrived but staff made it so difficult for us to do so, that we decided to risk it for three days and were highly disappointed at what was my husbands 40th birthday gift. Steer clear of this hotel if you are looking for a hotel with facilities and a general standard of customer service.

- Location is good only if you're with a car; - Swimming pool is decent, but usually crowded; - Lack of toiletries in the room - only soap and a shampoo; - 1 medium sized towel, 1 small face towel; - Breakfast varies from working shift; - Lack of smoking room in a building; - No slippers in the room;

It was very noicy due to a wedding. The walls are very thin.

Would like to get more early breakfast (from 7 o'clock even on weekends).

Everything was very good. Very nice hotel, I always use it when I am in Tallinn. I would say: the best service for very clever price.

It's not close to the Old town but we've already visited Tallin many times before, so we just wanted to have calm and comfortable hotel. But if you're interested in city trip, it'd be better to choose another hotel.
