Great location, good female only dorm room. Plentiful breakfast with good bread.

The door to the bathroom in the room was rather hard to close and lock properly, which could be a bit awkward.

Great location, very clean and safe place, the staff is friendly and helpful. There is fridge and breakfast in the morning. Great value for money!

The rooms are on the 3rd floor, so you need to carry luggage but that was fine for me.

the hosts help with sightseeing and the free map. unique design of architecture and clean interior. every most of the thing usually functioning as cheap and cozy hostel.

stairs. too narrow and seemingly dangerous. it looks like antic, beautiful and interesting architecture for sure with those stairs, though when you are exhausted from walking all the ways in old town, those are not very fun not pretty. fees for shower and laundry (most of hostels iv been were free)

The overall experience of staying in Tabinoya was very good. Great staff, excellent location!

Toilet and shower facilities are not the best. They are tiny and a bit intimidating.

We spent three wonderful nights in the Tabinoya Hostel with people from the 5 continents. We had a significant birthday in our party so there was great celebration as we were allowed to pop the champagne! Taro was exceptionally helpful with local information. Tabinoya hostel is part of the internal Old Town Wall and you can walk everywhere. Walking tours are visible on the street below from the bedrooms. DIY breakfast with cereals, toaster, microwave & fridge to use. Local restaurant and pub outside for the 'Deoch Abhaile'. Thanks Taro for a lovely stay.

Tabinoya is a Listed building so we understood the stairs and managed them fine. Street door saddle could do with a little maintenance. Otherwise a historic protected building.

Loved the location of this hostel right beside the Old Town. The staff were super friendly and made me feel very welcome. The gentleman on reception helped me carry my bag both up and down the stairs which I really appreciated as the stairs are quite steep. This was a very homely place and the single room I stayed in had everything I needed. I would certainly recommend Tabinoya to others!

It could be a bit noisy at night with people walking by below on the street. I just used earplugs though so was no problem for me.

Great staff, good wi-fi, and spacious dormitories which gives you some kind of privacy, very good.

Central location in Tallinn means noise from the street, thats how it is. I would Like if they had a bigger common room for people to meet. Very steep stairs if you are drunk! But all in all not much to not like here.

The owner was wonderful! I am glad it is NOT a party hostel, like most of the others I investigated. I had the opportunity to have good conversations with other travelers while sitting around the table during breakfast and around dinner time having tea, a beer or a glass of wine. My friend and I received very good advice on good places to eat that were both unique and frugal. The location is in Old Town, but away from the gate most tourists use when getting off the ferry and therefore not a lot of noise at night. I would definitely recommend Tabinoya.

My only suggestion would be some fruit at breakfast. I am not sure if hostels in Tallinn have fruit included with breakfast, but it would be nice. I am glad that breakfast is included in the price, though.

    - Great location, very clean and comfortable to sleep - Nice staff!

    - Only one WC per floor, - breakfast very poor, just to mention: flakes, bread, tea. But it can be considered as a bonus, because total price is comparable to other places without breakfast ).

Very friendly staff, excellently situated, nice comfy welcoming hostel atmosphere

as a warning it is probably not the best choice for people who have trouble getting up stairs, as you have to climb several flights of very steep stairs

Very good location, helpful staff, nice rooms and bathrooms with curtains on each bed for privacy.

You have to remove your shoes and wear slippers throughout the hostel which is a bit annoying
