Situated on the 4th floor of a 19th century house at the heart of Tallinn’s lively Old Town, Kohver Hostel is 250 metres from the Town Hall Square.
Score from 384 reviews Very good
I was given a 2 single beds room even if i had booked a 3 bed shared room and i had my privacy without other people.Showers and toilet were very clean, beds comfortable.Wifi was good.
This is not a hostel actually as it is said,it is a dorm for school students. There was some noise by the students during the night.Staff knew poor english, could not give much information about the city.A bit expensive for hostel. The location is out of the center (i chose that on purpose cause it's right next to the bus station of Tallinn and i had to catch a bus on the next day).
Clean, close to the airport and the old city. Favorable price.
Heartful reception like at home. Very quiet and convenient location, close to the coach station and downtown, a few tram stops from the train station, very close to the airport, in a very interesting district of its own. Everything you need to have a good, comfortable, inexpensive rest in Estonia's capital city.
The only drawback is that the room doors aren't soundproof, so your peace depends on your neighbors.
24-hour reception Clean room Good wi-fi quality in the room Less then 1 km to Old Tallinn Large supermarket placed in 5-minutes walk from the hostel
Dirty fridge full with smelling products out of an expiration date left by preceding guests Little room for this money, about 12 squarе meters.
The location is perfect for a city break. The view and the facade of the hostel look like a prison, but it is close to the city centre and to the harbour. There are also two supermarkets and a market nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even if the toilet and the showers are on the hall, they were clean and we found everything we needed there.
The windows in our room were so dirty that we could not even look at them. Except the windows, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Another aspect that bothered us was the traffic on the hallway. Even around midnight there were people walking on the halls and the noise they made was similar to a troop of elephants. I do not know why the steps sound so loud, but the noise kept us up almost half the night (we were unfortunate enough to have the room next to the stairway too).
The location near the bus station.
The hostel is actually part of a school dormatory, so there are shared toilets and showers for men and women, with no privacy.
Nice staff, rather clean.
Few little spots on linen, few holes.
The location. Clean. Friendly stuff.
beds were comfortable
Bathroom smells Staff not friendly Noisy Location Poor value for money
Good size of room with smaller bathroom, everything is clean, friendly staff, walking distance from downtown, excellent value for money if you're coming from the West. They allowed me to leave my car there after checkout which saved me a few Euros of downtown parking fees.
The hostel is a bit hard to find, especially if you drive, lots of one way streets and from the street the sign says "hostel" with another name. The night attendant didn't speak much English, though she really tired hard to communicate. So, overall a good experience.
The price was very convenient. Location a bit far from the old town but close to bus stop where you can take several which will lead you there in 10 min. The room was clean.
In the bathroom there were only one out of three toilets available (the others were locked during the two days of our stay). Bathrooms and showers were quite dirty and I think they weren't cleaned up in two days.
It's a good place if you want to discover Tallinn on foot. It s just in the middle between the old city and Kadriorg. It's just next to the bus station if you want to continue your trip to other cities in Estonia.
It's a bit far away from the old town. 20-30 minutes on foot.
Staff, location, value for money
A little noisy neighbours but for a hostel it's probably OK
I arrived very late and I appreciated how welcoming the woman was when I arrived. She made sure I knew just where everything was. I also came from the bus station and appreciated how close it was, so I could easily walk. The room was very comfortable and all of the facilities, including the shared bathrooms, were kept extremely clean. I appreciated being able to leave my luggage while I explored the city for the day. The wifi worked great in the room.
Price for value ... same order as student hostels .. not many drunk people like my past Estonian hostel experience
location to airport
a lot of sounds from the street from unloading vegetable trucks. if you close the window it gets hot because of summer.
very clean, great facilities, kitchen, showers, wc, room for reading- everything clean and nice... the position is very good also.. 3-5 minutes away from the bus station (buses going to riga, parnu etc) and from rimi, a good supermarket. the hostel is 15 minutes away from the old center. a supermarket is just across the street. we were very pleased with this hostel. we arrived at 7-8 in the morning and they gave us the key so we could sleep.. very nice... usualy the checkin is after 1, 2 pm...
everything was good.
one restaurant in the front of the hostel is poor, charging more money from tourist.
very clean room, good wifi connection.let me check in early.25 euro well spent
didnt stay long enough to find anything wrong with the place.
Located well for the bus station Opportunity to do laundry at a reasonable price. Quiet.
The hostel is situated next to Keskturg (market square), which is worth visiting
The shower place was very tiny, so You´d better be flexible and average height.
I like. Locatuon
Friendly staff, kitchen, book shelf. Location is close to the bus station and the airport.
A bit expensive
Close to river side, sea side and old town. Room is spacious and the facility in the kitchen is awesome! Staff is very friendly and helpful as well.
WIFI is weak
It was very convenient to stay in this hostel if you need just a clean bed for a night.
