Hotel Telegraaf  

The absolute best feature of Hotel Telegraaf is its friendly and helpful staff. They were supernice, especially Nadia. We had a small hick-up at the beginning of our trip due to a delay by the airline. Karin, the reservation manager, made it all up to us; in my view, the quality of a hotel and its staff show when there is a problem. The way the hotel handled our delay was excellent. They upgraded is to a better room, and inquired repeatedly if everything was alright and apologized. I was impressed. The breakfast at the hotel is amazing; great selection of top notch food (eggs any way you want them, and a buffet with smoked salmon, fruit salad, champagne, juices, coffees, teas, bread, pastry, celreal, yoghurt - all in a beautiful tasteful setting (not too frilly and not cold). White table cloths, friendly servers, just great. The hotel is beautiful, again not too much frill or biedermeier, but tastefully historic. The dinners are outstanding, sommelier knows his business. I can't think of anything negative, it was one of the best city hotel experiences we've had (and we have stayed in many very good locations). We stayed for 8 days, so we really checked out all aspects of this hotel and its surroundings. The location is fantastic for the exploring the old town, shopping, and dininig. We didn't use the spa, but checked it out and it looked fine too. All in all, a 10+ experience.

In terms of relative cost for what you receive for your money, this hotel is the best I have ever stayed in! Congratulations on getting the formula right!!

Bed was really comfortable. Almost for the first time I could sleep well in my business trip.

Naked wooden door. This is just my personal attitude, somebody could love it. My rooms was quite small, at that having high ceiling - in the end was looking ... strange.

First class hotel in every respect, from the hotel organised transfers to the breakfasts nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff. I would recomend the hotel to anyone. It's situation is ideal with everything Tallin has to offer within walking distance and numerous high quality restaurants nearby.

Without the disadvantages!

This is the second stay that we have had at this hotel and can't fault it at all. Both our stays have been for four blissful nights. The position in the old town is second to none with excellent access to museums, restaurants, cafes and bars. The hotel is exceptional value for a 5 star hotel in a capital city. I have paid a lot more in London for substantially worse accommodation. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent and, which is unusual at many top hotels, included in the price of our stay. There is such a vast array of food that even as a vegetarian in a country of predominantly meat eaters I had an exceptional choice. I can thoroughly recommend the eggs Florentine which were to die for. The pancakes were sublime. The drinks in the hotel were only slightly more expensive than in a local bar. I have visited other hotels of four and five star standard and this is one area that the majority let themselves down – not the telegraff. The rooms are excellent with all the amenities required. The telegraaf has nice touch’s including leaving a bottle of mineral water and a small chocolate for each guest when the beds are turned down in the evening. The maid also took this opportunity to remove any rubbish and replenish stocks of toiletries. This is probably one of the two best hotels I have stayed in anywhere in the world.

There isn't anything not to like about the telegraaf

Excellent staff, beautiful spa, rooms spacious and warm, very very clean. Superb location in Old Town - safe, elegant, welcoming, lovely breakfast, helpful staff. Meals - Russian influence - but breakfast wide range, always stocked - prosecco available, free water each night with turn down service, very clean, lots of hot water, fantastic location to all sights - walking distance to everything.

Staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Spacious and comfortable rooms and nice Spa facilities. Stress free.

Staff and service were exceptional. Breakfast was good and room was comfortable. A good hotel overall.

Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been useful and I was surprised these were not provided.

The breakfast was cold every morning the toaster does not work there are no tea /coffee making facilities in the room.

Everything was beautiful and quaint

The staff were exceptional, friendly, courteous, and helpful. The breakfast offered a great variety of foods - cereals, pastries and breads, salad selection with cold meats and cheeses, yoghurts, cooked breakfasts, juices and tea/coffee, also prosecco! You could also request omelettes, eggs benedict etc, all fab. Spa facility was lovely, though jacuzzi needed to be a little hotter. Location was superb, 30 metres to the main square. Lots of cafes and restaurants on the same street - elevant and josephines were our faves! Our room was on the 6th floor in the eaves.of the new part. Perfectly comfy, bed was great, but would say that room was more 4 star.

There were a couple of tiles that were off on the bathroom floor, these were tiny though. The room whilst nice and comfy didn't feel like a 5 star room. Needed to be bigger for that or a couple of extra luxuries needed. Other rooms had for example, beds that sat up or more room. Even a chaise in the space by the lamp would have made it seem more luxurious.
