After the Republic of Estonia was established in 1918, the building was used as a telegraph station. It retained this function in the Soviet period, housing the 'Tallinn Central Telegraph'. During restoration in 2005-2006, the wing of the building that was destroyed during World War Two was rebuilt.
The hotel has a meeting room, complete with fireplace, which can host events for up to 50 people.
A wealth of beauty treatments, including facials and hand therapy, are available at the hotel (charges apply).
The hotel's indoor pool (3 x 10m) and jacuzzi are open 7 days a week (07:00 until 22:00). The sauna and steam bath are also open Monday to Sunday (07:00 - 10:00 and 17:00 - 22:00).
The hotel's Lobby-Bar, open until late, is an ideal venue for a pre-dinner cocktail or a nightcap. The bar also offers a wide selection of wines from the New and Old World.
Town Hall Square (70m) - here, in front of the charming medieval town hall, traditions from the Middle Ages are kept alive; parades, a knights’ tournament and a parrotshooting contest take place in this popular square.
Toompea Castle (600m) - this castle, situated on a steep limestone hill, was built in the 13th and 14th centuries.

Everything! Great location, ambiance, service. Room was very well appointed. We had to depart early morning from the hotel and the staff had a bagged breakfast to go. Will stay at this hotel again when in Tallinn. |

Pleasent, stylish stay. Restaurant Tshaikovsky had very good service and food. Spa was nice and clean. New buildings were of high quality. Really enjoyed the enviroment. Sink in bathroom did not work poperly. In case of accident (as happened to our son) we got some bad advises (the reseptionist guided us to wrong hospital -should have been childrens hospital). |

Staff was very friendly and room was beautiful and clean. Location in Old town is brilliant: walking distance from harbour as well as to main interests, restaurants and shopping locations. Only some very small things such as no shampoo/conditioner in spa and too soft pillows. Otherwise great! |

Friendly staff and very helpful. Location right in the middle of the Old Town. Superb breakfast with lots of variety. They upgraded my room on the second night for a slight problem that occured the first night. One of the blind was broken and was not fix in the evening so the sun woke us up the next day but they compensated for that incident the next day. |

The friendly staff, the elegant decoration, the restaurant (our waitor was amazing!) and the fantastic spa. Big bathroom with bath tub, lovely. It is suited for families with children (chairs and baby beds available), but not a perfect place for little children (but then again, what hotel is?). |
