Helpful & friendly staff. Medieval vibe. Very comfortable bed.
Our room & bathroom were a bit too small, but I guess that´s inevitable sometimes in an historic building like this is. Due to personal preference I would add some variety to the breakfast including non-milk products (oatmilk, nutmilks or soya milk for example).
Spacious room with great comfort, right in the middle of Old Town. Close to shopping, sights, restaurants.
This is not the place for people who can not walk stairs! This hotel is all about stairs, but no problem for us. The scrambled eggs for breakfast was the only thing to complain about.
Lovely old building Excellent location Nice breakfast
Didn't sleep well in room 6 - bar of the hotel underneath the room and lots of noise when bottles being thrown into the bins! And security light on and off .... Needs improvement. £100 for the room - expected a great sleep!!
Perfect location, great personal.
Bed in single room is small.
Staff good. Room comfortable and spacious.
Step in middle of room a hazard. Steep stairs, but to be expected in an old building.
Very close to the main square, but very quiet and newly renovated hotel. The staff is excellent. Good breakfasts
A bit pricy
This charming little hotel in Tallinn´s old town is located very close to Raekoja Plats and has a great restaurant in it. Also breakfast was good; ao. oat meel, eggs, bacon, fresh bread (dark and white) and delicious croissants. You can also enjoy fruits, youghurt, juice, different types of fish and even sparkling wine..If you eat only the breakfast it costs 12€. Check-in was quick, beds really comfortable and rooms cosy and nicely decorated as well as the whole hotel. Everything worked for us--no reason why not to be back.
Service was impeccable at the CRU Hotel-in particular Kristi at the front desk and Johan-who does a little of everything. This hotel actually is quite good, unlike those that simply say they are so many stars. I should clarify, however, that I scored an off season deal during the week, which is why I found it such a good value. Excellent breakfast!
The hotel kindly upgraded my room as it was offseason during the week, but I ended up with a window over the outdoor bar. Luckily, it was cooler so no problem closing the window at night (which shut out most of the noise), but I would have liked to sleep with it open. The noise would have made sleep impossible!
- excellent staff - great breakfast - refined and of high quality, especially their home-made bread and hefty samon slices - excellent location in the center of old town - charming old building with lots of small corridors and stairs
- Room #8 was very small, damp, dark, noisy and not comfortable (a la "chambre de bonnes"), which I eventually asked for a room change - Mini fridge super loud - small corridors and many stairs (not for those with mobility constraints nor with a heavy suitcase)
Everything. Service and breakfast buffet were excellent. The hotel restaurant was also excellent.
Not a good hotel for anyone with mobility problem (stairs and switchbacks), although not a problem for me. It's in town and can be noisy even at 11 at night, but if the windows are closed it's not so bad. My room had a bed and small sofa, athough the sofa wasn't the4 best for reading, but there was an adequate reading light over the bed.
Great location and breakfast was really nice.
Room was located at the top of the main stairs and wasn't very private. It also wasn't as cozy as the pictures made it out to be. When we tried to switch, they said they were fully booked so we were a little disappointed.
Lovely hotel and staff, good location, breakfast is really first class and plenty to chose from, our room was comfy and clean
Some of the carpets in the hallway and stairs are a bit worse for wear
Very good restaurant and service. Location excellent.
We got the room Mach smaller, then we ordered, it was claustrofobic little and no ventilation with window to noisy street. Helena and Barry
The location is right in the centre of the old town near to the main square and a short walk from everything including buses, yet it was very quiet. The interior has character with a bar / restaurant and outside restaurant areas on the street and in a small private courtyard. Staff were very friendly and helpful and although there were a couple of minor problems they dealt with them quickly and efficiently. Breakfast was superb especially their own homemade rye bread with nuts and apricots in it. There was a choice of continental or cooked.
A security light that kept turning on and off all night regardless of whether anyone was there or not - apparently it can be affected by the wind. It led to a disturbed sleep until I got used to it. Evening meal didn't live up to expectations and was expensive for what were not generous portions. There is no aircon, at least not in the small doubles although fans were provided.
Location is very good. Room is clean. I hope visit next time with pleasure.
There is a restaurant near room. When I open window, it is noisy. No air conditioner. Key holder is big.
No closet for clothes, noisy cooler in room
Perfectly located next to restaurants, shops, cafes, museums, and other sites -- all walking distance. Beautiful old building and nicely decorated....a mix of modern and traditional. Nice breakfast buffet, which was included, with a small but good variety of high quality food, and pleasant setting in the dining room. Wonderful restaurant with excellent chef!!!!!!!!! -- I went there for dinner (sophisticated and excellent ingredients...highly recommended).
Lots of stairs in this old building, no elevator and had to ask for help with luggage (seemed like it was a big imposition for the staff -- so poor service in this regard). Wifi did not work most of the time, or went in and out. Near restaurants and bars, so a bit loud at night.
The staff were very helpful when my luggage was delayed. Maria and Johan were very friendly and welcoming. They also accommodated my dietary needs by providing items in the breakfast buffet. Victoria, BC Canada
There was nothing to dislike.
Location, old historical building, friendly and competent staff
Leak in bathroom, breakfast and temperature in room
the history behind, the fantastic bed and linen, the breakfast and its superb location.
no air conditioning in an especially hot July -30ºC!
The room was quiet, very clean, and the staff provided us with a fan, as requested.
The bathroom was a bit odd - you have to walk through the shower to get to the sink and toilet - but the staff were happy to give us extra bathmats and towels. The coffee at breakfast was weak and terrible.
Extremely comfortable bed, breakfast A+++ !!! Very cosy and quiet room , Stuff knows their work .
Weak water stream in the shower, not so good wi-fi ( room Nr.15)
Central location. Excellent staff. Superb old building.
Room was just a little smaller than we would have liked .
The staff was helpful and courteous. Breakfast was excellent an the location was perfect.
We rented four rooms. Three out of four were excellent. The four room had a bad odor of sewage. Plus the windows opened onto a courtyard where people smoked.
The staff The restaurant
Very slow wifi
