    - kind staff - nice rooms big bungalows. - very clean -good value for money - very green -relaxed environment - the food in the restaurant was great and at reasonable prices. - free boat service to go to the east bank

    - if you hate insects avoid staying there. The hotel is in a plantation and next to the river, so you'll find lots of mosquitos, lizards, ants, etc....

This "hotel" is located on the western bank of the nile, which takes about 40 minutes to get there after getting to Luxor. Secondly, it is located in a squalid village, of which, one of the attractions is men running around with large A-K's. Next, the beds are made of bricks - no kidding...bricks. There are no stores nearby, TV is located across the street. This hotel is NOT in a safe area, it is NOT what is advertised. My Egyptian husband, who, incidentally lives in a TINY village in rural EGYPT would NOT stay here. There are plenty of hotels on the eastern bank. Lets just say this...after driving for 6 hours in a non-air conditioned cab, we turned around to make the 40 minute drive back to Luxor and did not stay here. NO security, NO safety, NO STAY!

The price is fine. The food is wonderful. The room space is good.

No internet in the room. There are lots of bugs in the room. Once the electricity is stopped, the heat is unbearable. Also, the staff working there often knocked the room door in late evening, though for delivering breakfast or checking out business.

The staff was amazing. They evem lent us money to avoid going to an ATM. Overall, some of the nicest people I have ever met. The place is beautiful and upkept perfectly.

Coordinate with them to help you get a ride from the airport. They will do it. Its a beautifully secluded place so our taxi had some trouble. They actually had their reservations guy driving around town to help find us though! Again.

Beautiful peaceful oasis of calm. The perfect retreat after a hard days sightseeing. I felt as pampered as a pharaoh. Food delicious , healthy and expertly presented. Each room has it's own private garden where you can dine or you can eat in the restaurant and watch the Nile go by. Arrival at the hotel by boat at night, bird-song in the morning. Highly recommended.

Arriving at the hotel by boat was great fun The food was delicious and very reasonably priced Very clean and spacious rooms Staff able to arrange everything for you; bikes, trips etc The lovely, inventive ideas the room service people came up with to amuse us all!

The heat! Luxor was very hot and the air was stifling in middle of the day but we had our lovely air conditioned rooms to retire to

My family travels out of the country twice a year and this is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in for a variety of reasons. We've stayed in luxury places many times and that was great, but this is a real experience in a lovely hotel. The owner Mohammed Omar was definitely one of the finest people we've ever personally met. He shared a bottle of locally produced Egyptian wine with us and also allowed myself into the kitchen to learn how to cook their chicken curry recipe which is the best I've ever had. The rooms are beautiful as is the setting on the west bank. It is a peaceful setting unlike the city on the east bank. The place is a true Egyptian experience at an incredible price. The restaurant overlooking the river is amazing and basically will cook anything for you until midnight. They have a boat to transport guests back and forth across the river and the owner knows taxi drivers and can arrange someone to be waiting for you on the other side. Mohammed can also arrange just about anything you want to do in, around, and beyond the Luxor area. I believe that it would be foolish to stay anywhere else in Luxor.

There was not a single thing that was disappointing in any way.

To see the egyptian country side llifestyle. See the wheat fields, babana plantage. Being away from all hassle on the east bank.

Mosquito, fliers, giant ants on bed. Donkey's noise in the early morning.

Amazing place, a patch of paradise on the Nile. Great alternative to the average hotel chain. Staff is super-friendly, atmosphere relaxed, food excellent, the view of the Nile breathtaking at sunset. A perfect place for a few days of tranquility, and for exploring Luxor. Not to be missed!

Loved the quiet location and free boat to the east bank, great large bungalow style accommodation, swimming pool and great food.

Internet was a little slow, but it was like that everywhere else I stayed in Egypt (even in 5 star hotels).

The food served is nutritious and delicious, home grown home made and plenty of it for very reasonable prices served with courtesy and big smiles. All the staff are friendly helpful and great sense of fun. Mahmoud the owner and his German partner Matilde have created very comfortable and roomy bungalows in a quiet and peaceful setting on the edge of the Nile, there is nothing not to love about this place. The boating to the east side of the river sure beats driving and Mamdouh the taxi driver for the hotel once on the east side is very smart to save guests any hassle in dealing with all the people involved in touring Luxor...

    Having to leave.....

Remote and quiet location on the Nile. Good staff and good service Free boat to Luxor upon request.

Mosquitoes. Even through all the measures taken, the hotel is in the fields, so be aware. A little complicated transportation on West Bank.
