Anakato Nubian Houses

Setting by the Nile lovely, a rather quirky place. Staff friendly. We didn't take the boat into Aswan as we had only one day-went to a local football match which was fun and everyone was very friendly- gave us cups of tea.

The place was not value for money, all rather basic. Just outside the building you're in the village which is full of stalls selling tourist things, expect to be hassled. We stayed one night which was fine, but not a lot to do around the guest house. We got badly bitten too!!

The nubian house is brightly colored, cozy and nicely designed. The location is on the nile and the desert is the backyard. It's a relaxing house and very quiet. The staff was friendly and really tried. Also walking distance to the Nubian village for shopping. The house is a peaceful place. The view is priceless.

Most of the staff does not speak english, but are friendly. Hot water runs about 4 mins than is cold. Upon my arrival there were three lights out in my room and was later fixed my management. There were holes in the window screens and the mosquito's everywhere. Breakfast is not served in the Nubian house, you must take a boat ride to get breakfast or a 10 minute walk. Wifi is not available in the house. Breakfast could have more variety for the price you pay for the room. I had to purchase my own fruit, which you must buy on the other side of the river. The restaurant served luke warm meals with plastic still on it, I preferred to dine somewhere else. Staff and management argue in front of guest. My checkout bill was hand written and on piece of paper that already had writing on it, instead of a printed invoice. The price range is wrong for the service and accommodations. They really need to lower there prices. The house is really beautiful and location is wonderful. The staff needs to be more organized for better quality of service. I would still recommend the Nubian House to other travelers.

The Lodge is stunning! The rooms are simple but beautifully decorated. You are out of town on the Nile, a short ride from the airport and a fellucca or faster boat ride to attractions. Great trip organiser! Staff are lovely. Food was local and really nice. The Nubian village is just behind, with shopping (don't forget to haggle!)

The Lodge isn't the cheapest option, but having stayed there, I'm really glad we did!

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The manager there, Sheyma, was particularly attentive and reliable/helpful. It was a good spot. Not too far away from the city centre but is far away enough from the hustle and bustle. It was a relaxing stay and we had a gorgeous view of the Nile from our balcony.

La vue sur le Nil et le calme

Le prix est excessivement cher au regard du standing de l hôtel et des prestation .tres isolé dans un village à 25minutes d Assouan (il était proposé comme hôtel d Assouan) confort de la chambre très sommaire , internet ne marchant pas 90% du temps ,chambre minuscule avec peu de lumière .pour ce prix le petit déjeuner était basique .en dehors du décor naturel qui est très beau le reste est décevant .

Seule la situation au bord du Nil est superbe. Il faut savoir qu'il y a anakato 1, 2 et 3

Réservé 2 fois, par votre intermédiaire et sur place par nous, 4 jours avant la date. Nos chambres ont été prises par d'autres et on nous a mis dans un autre endroit bien moins situé et la personne qui nous les avait réservé a dit que cela n'était ps vraie.. En présence de notre guide égyptien qui était outré.. Menteur ! Service déplorable. Prix complètement surfait.

Nice location at the nile in a traditinonal nubian atmosphere.

For 140 dollars a night very poor breakfast and dirty bathroom.
