Peace and quiet, although the hotel is getting old and is not these days a 5 star hotel, what do you expect for the price. The staff were efficient and friendly, the accommodation was good and clean and tidy. The food wes good and freshly prepeared.Locaton from a business point of view was a little out of the way but you could work in the room and get work done without the constant ear shattering horn blowing of down town Cairo. I would advise people to stay there and except that it is what it is and if you want real 5 star luxary go and pay $200.00 a night. I read the reviews before i went and thought most of the dislikes were from wingers, who wanted 200 buck accommodation for 50 bucks. Reccomended by me. Flies and the DJ by the swimming pool not everyone wants 100 dbs blairing.internet was a problem although i have a dongle, but £75 LE an hour is unjustified, they might get more business people if the decided to offer it at a reasonable price. most Hotels offer the service free. |

It is not very far from the Pyramids - however it isnt like you can see the pyramids from your window! It definitely is not a 5 star property – more like a 3/ almost 4 star property with a nice pool!!!!! The room was spacious, however the bathroom was in a relatively bad shape( not 5 star like they claim). However what would you do with a large room when it isn’t that nice? Additionally the location is quite rubbish – there is nothing next to the property. Everything is a cab ride away. Not too sure if you can see the Pyramids from the hotel – I couldn’t see it from anywhere I went on the property. |

We loved the buffet menue at the La Villa. We also liked the spacious rooms. We loved the pool. It was very clean and well designed. There is a huge mosquito problem. We were aware of these problems before we arrived but we didn't expect that the problem was in the apartment room! so for two nights we didn't get any sleep at all. We spent two nights in a battle field of mosquitoes. Thank goodness we stocked up on the repelent but it was impossible to have a good night sleep. |

Great swimming pool and wonerful breakfast The hotel should be classified as 2 or 3 star. Staff should detest from offering clients services that are not directly linked or approved by the hotel. i.e the butler who took me to my room kept offering taxi services that he did want me to tell or ask management about... This is very annoying and uncomfortable especially that I am a solo female regular traveler |

the hotel was generally clean and the rooms ok the pool was very large and clean and the food was generally good The resort lacked polish and the rooms were dated and tired their was no proper information about the hotel and facilities. The food and drink was overpriced and the whole place needed a good clean that said the pool itself was clean but the pool surround was dirty and the sun loungers were filthy. |

The stay was good but the hotel front desk was highly incompetent. I would not stay at this hotel again for that reason alone. They had no cohesive or reliable answer to most questions. The female front desk employee gave me the wrong info about the shuttle bus---according to her it wasnt running and then it was so I almost missed it. I had to rush out of my room etc. This is just one example there were others. The music was way too loud every where in the reception, restaurant etc. |

Great value for money. The location was a bit remote, which made it hard to go anywhere for dinner. And there was not much choice for dinner/lunch at the hotel, so I feel that let down what was an otherwise amazing hotel. |

Not a UK five star by any standards but was a lot better than many of the reviews ii read online. Excellent value for money, $90 per day, for a family of five including breakfast. Large swimming pool. Rooms adequate and not coachroach infested as i had read elsewhere. problems with mosquitoes, but not excessive, so if you are prone to bites take the appropriate precautions. This is due to being located to a canal running of the nile and not a result of stagnant water in the hotel. |

We liked, the arcitecture og the buildings, quiet, nice and clean swimmingpool(Excellent), pleasant staff and a intime atmosphere with nice food at different places. Non exisitng tennis-court. We chose the hotel because it had a tennis-court, so the first day after we discovered the bad tennis facilities, we were disappointed. But there are so many activities at the hotel that compensated for lack of tennisfacilities. |

Staff were polite and efficient, and did not pressure us in any way. They looked after our needs and assisted us with genuine care. The setting of the hotel is lovely, and we felt happy to be in such nice surroundings. The buffet breakfast was very good, and made a nice start to the day. Overall the hotel was very good value for money. Although we booked a double room, we had two single beds side-by-side. The rooms do need a refurbishment to do justice to the hotel. |

Location to pyramids was good Terrible mosquito problem. We were not able to spend any time in the evenings outside because it was so bad. Our room was very shabby and run down. The website photos only show the new spacious rooms - not the old ones in the front part of the hotel. |

The day I left. I left 2 days before the end of the reservation. I have read the reviews and do prefer to take always a open or optimistic position and try to see by myself. But all the reviews from people who didnt like the place are right on. Mosquitos, since the day I arrived till the day I left, the place is completely infested by mosquitos, I never have been so badly bitten in my life. Brown water in bathroom. The area is surrounded by a filty river or canal. so I hope my health will not suffer from this. |
