Luxurious rooms and suites provide views of the Nile River at Grand Nile Tower on Roda Island. The spa center also overlooks the Nile and the resort features 8 restaurants and an outdoor pool.
Score from 527 reviews Good
Just a short walk from Cairo Tower, Novotel Cairo El Borg is in a great location in central Cairo, only 650 ft from Cairo Opera house. The rooms have views overlooking the Nile or Cairo city.
Score from 763 reviews Very good
Sofitel El Gezirah is a 5-star luxury hotel with a private promenade along the Nile. It is within walking distance of the Opera house and Cairo Tower, Egyptian Museum and Khan El Khalili.
Score from 858 reviews Very good

Score from 783 reviews Excellent
was great trip
everythings were great
- Breakfast varieties - Nile view
- Staff always asking for tips in a rude way - Staff focus on serving foreigners who give them tips rather than local guests
Unbecoming house keepers, bad experience even asking for extra water bottle like asking for a bottle of champagne. Corridor is full of cigarette smoke, even in the room. I got room changed 3 times due to this and the appalling condition (bad wifi signal, torn wallpaper and dirty walls). View from the room is nothing to rave about either.
staff are bad. elevator is always bussy.
the hotel is amazing, staff were very friendly and the room we booked (junior suite) was really huge and with fantastic view, I loved everything about this hotel, room service was very fast and the breakfast also was very nice, I strongly recommend this hotel, one of the best in cairo.
there is nothing I didn't like about this hotel
I was treated poorly at the Stage One club
Location, Cleaness, Staff Kindness and free WiFi
Everything was quite fantastic. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had an executive package which made a huge difference and the blonde lady there was the perfect hostess and a real asset to the hotel.
The Conrad is a bit far to walk into town but for all of the added features, the extra walking is well worth it. Checking-in in the lobby can take a long time.
convenient location to central district and Giza
the neighbourhood was a bit noisy at night time
Good location close to the railway station and Zamalek. Big comfy bed.
This is not a 5 star hotel property. The decoration in the rooms is old with some wallpaper peeling and worn furniture. It's generally clean but somewhat shabby. Far too expensive for what it offers. The poolside was not cleaned adequately and leisure facilities were "tired". Service was inattentive and some staff seemed inexperienced. Breakfast was cafeteria-3-star at best. Quality and standards of executives the lounge, lobby, corridors and outside areas not good enough for 5 star prices.
swim pool, night club.
The make up of the room
The furniture in the room are looking old and worn out .
may be the location
The hotel deserve to be one star
Location - Cleanliness - And Breakfast was various, and tasty
- Loud Disco during Sleep (was very noisy)
free wifi (even if you have to select a rate and time to add to the bill but at the end it was free). good breakfast.
wifi connection in my room was only possible in the room-entrance. bad signal. seems that u have to call concierge and ask for extra model (but I guess not free). car service to the airport very expensive
We didn't get our minibar deposit of $100 back on check out. now have to chase it up as my email hasn't been replied to. Ruined a great stay
Breakfast was very good, nice service in restaurant , pool- a little bit small and old but clean ,location- very close to down town; room - big and clean but has old furniture; staff was very friendly and helpfull
Check in - we pay more than we should , first they charge us extra and said it will be refund when we check-out; wifi - free but very poor in room, good in lobby and public area; everywhere smell cigarettes ;
Service, staff, the room/pillows
Pushy taxi drivers out front of hotel. They constantly try to rip you off. The main guy out the front was very helpful with this & gave us the prices we should pay. Don't let this deter you from this hotel though
-The staff is very professional. -The whole place is extremely clean. -The food was perfect and of the highest quality
Location - right middle of old town, easy access by car ( usually no traffic at main road ) Security, Breakfast,
It was good as family destination, the room was spacious and full of common facilities, the location on the Nile river is characteristic but the view from most rooms is limited to a specific area of the Nile.
If you are looking for panoramic view of the Nile river you should choose another hotel. check in and out processes took too much time and most of it was waiting; so more reception staff would be better.
Location, lobby, Most staff, breakfast. The view from the room overlooking the Nile was breathtaking.
Some staff seemed overwhelmed, my room's bathroom leaked throughout my stay, bathroom in real need of renovation as both the wc and shower were leaking. Room service charges were exorbitant, quality of room service food was really inferior (i couldn't eat 2 dishes shrimp and chicken). The bed was not as comfortable as expected. Wifi is not free.
