The lying staff, one thing that would make your stay comfortable over anything else is a trustful staff? At royal grand hotel staff have too many faces, i had incidences were I have asked to replace my driver for sight seeing and I was promised by manager Mohammed to have replacement of driver the following morning and The same driver turn up the next morning - his excuse was "oh the other driver has some issues so I was sent again",,,on my check out on the way to giza my hotel from giza had sent their driver for a free pick transfer to royal grand hotel, I and Madeline was sitting and talking at the reception desk, one guy turn up who can not speak English only in arabic , and start asking for me that his picking me up in Arabic Madeline replied and told this driver that I was doin a sight seeing at the museum- I was Infront of them two at that instant and Madeline lied straight up to the driver and I..I went to giza with the same driver of hotel grand royal and I have learnt later that the driver that was sent recognizes me and he told his boss that when he was asking Madeline for me I was sitting right Infront of them two in the middle and how can Madeline could stomach to lie when I was right there... a untrustworthy staff and lying staff were the worst thing that a hotel could have - specially if you are visiting as a tourist! I would strongly advice and avoid at all cost this hotel, I would personally not even think twice of returning even If all the hotels would have had a full booking in Cairo, I would rather travel 30km and stay somewhere else! Highly and strongly not recommended and avoid at all cost for your wonderful stay in Egypt this hotel
The location is great although a very big disappointment when the staff cannot be trusted..Madeline and the staff were very helpful when it comes to organizing your itenirary although when all is paid and settled they would lie to you it happen to me. So avoid the place at all cost!
