It was a good location right on the beach in front of Pharaoh's island and not a lot of tourists. Upon arrival staff seemed very friendly and helpful but as we walked into our room there was a cockroach in the bathroom and a dirty floor. Room had a moldy smell to it and was not a very pleasant room to be in. We asked the front desk to change rooms and they said they were not willing to do that even though there were plenty of empty rooms, but would sent house keeping.. house keeping came and just swept up the cockroach and sprayed Lysol then left. We stayed at a different hotel for only 24 USD a night in Sharm El Sheikh and it was 10 times as nice as this hotel that was over twice the cost. We checked out asap the next morning and asked the front desk how we could get back to sharm which is about 3 hours away. he tried conning us into getting a taxi for the 3 hour drive back for 70 usd and said the public bus would be miserable without air condition, it would take 6 hours and would cost about 20 usd per person. The bus was actually only 6 usd per person, had air conditioning and only took 3.5 hours. It was a very comfortable ride and very cheap.. overall i would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

The hotel location is great and the sea view is amazing. Salah Eldin Citadel is placed in front of the hotel beach and the sun rise view from Jordan mountains is marvellous. I had stayed in the hotel for 2 nights on bb basis. The breakfast buffet is the worst I have seen in all hotels I have visited in my life. The room equipment and cleanliness are very bad.

The location on the beach is totally stunning. Apparently, there were 12 guests staying when I was there - I shared the beach with no-one, however, the sea for brief period with two Russian ladies and the dining room with no more than half a dozen people. There are wonderful views across the Red Sea, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Mahmoud, on reception when I checked in, was very helpful, and although he mentioned tours available from the hotel, there was no element of hard sell. The room, though not entirely clean, was extremely spacious, with a huge balcony. The hotel advertises that it has free wifi, which was my main reason for choosing it. However, there was a "problem with the satellite" so there was no wifi availble for the duration of my stay. It was suggested to me that I take a cab down to the Hilton and use theirs - which I did at a cost of 100le for the return trip and 45le for the internet usage. I wouldn't have bothered except for the fact that the hotel also advertises it accepts credit cards - however, after taking the machine to the socket outside the reception (!) it was reported that the machine wasn't working - and that I would need to go at my convenience to the Hilton to use the atm. Having to pay 100le for the privilege of paying my bill (and the rate was advertised as being collected in advance, so you can appreciate both my lack of foresight for not having the cash, and surprise at being told there was money owing, and to travel at my expense to an atm to get it). I think this is pretty poor service, to be honest, and an unacceptable expense for the guest. Combined with the internet issues, it left a rather poor taste. On check in, I was told dinner would be $10 - in fact, it is $12. There is nowhere else to go (unless you want to pay 100 fare to go to the Hilton or the Movenpick) so there is no choice. This is fair enough - except it is a set menu, and though the staff were accommodating to my vegetarianism, I felt that $12 was a high price to pay for some steamed vegetables, a portion of rice and some watermelon. I had an early flight from Eilat, and ordered a taxi for five am the evening before I left. I arrived to reception (about 500m from my room, and after four flights of stairs: fine in the cool of the morning, admittedly, but at least an offer of assistance would have been good) at 4.55 and found there was no taxi ordered. After many calls, one arrived at 5.
