There was no cable TV with 2014 world cup games.
Like elsewhere in Egypt, there is no alcohol available in the mini bar, or in the spa pool.
The towels are small and not great quality.
The fact that we went there in low season and there were very few guests in the hotel made our stay very special. The hotel is beautiful, with tasteful decoration. The pool areas are lovely, quiet, overlooking the Nile. It feels like you are in an oasis. The hotel is quite close to Karnak Temple and there is a free shuttle service to any place in the city center where you need to go. The staff is very helpful and professional, particularly if you compare with the quality of service in other places in Egypt. The rooms are not luxurious, not big, and dont offer some perks you find in 5 star hotels, but it has the essential, including iron and iron board in the room. In general, the hotel is great value for the money, specially if you take into consideration the great, well trained staff, the newness and cleanliness of the rooms and common areas, and the location. Oh, and the wet, cold, mint scented towels that you receive from the attentive staff is simply the best treat ever for someone melting in the Egyptian heat.
