Hilton Zamalek Residence  

The island of Zamalek is the best location to stay for a city trip to Cairo as Zamalek is like a green oasis in this hectic megacity. However, Zamalek is divided into a calmer part (south) and a more alive part (north). We've prefered the northern part with shops, gallerys, restaurants and cafes. If you have the same preferences Hilton Zamalek is the hotel to chose, especially because you'll find a breathtaking view. The hotel itself is a typical 4-star hotel with breakfast buffet, fitness club, sauna, swimmingpool etc. All these infrastructures are excellent. Hilton's staff was extreemly friendly and helpul! It was a pleasure to stay there. I am looking forward to come again.

They did not realise that I stayed there to celebrate my birthday, but that's not a big deal.

Disappointed that Breakfast not included. First time I've ever stayed at a hotel when you had to pay extra for breakfast.

Good Location, quiet and very confortable. The use of wi-fi in the lobby is free of charge for one hour, thanks to the Guest relation lady who told me and served me a nice cup of coffee. They also opened the breakfast room earlier for me so a big thank you. Excellent service.

Requests are some times forgotten. I had a broken kettle in my suite, I asked to be changed twice and I check out without been changed. Reception staff do not say the Wi-FI is free of charge in the lobby instead they encourage you to pay for it.

Very quiet and safe location in a relatively posh part of Cairo, but within walking distance or short (but mad) drives to the main sites. Great views of the Nile, some good restaurants nearby. Rooms are big, beds comfortable, staff helpful.

The Nile Breeze restaurant on site has a very limited menu (with no Egyptian choices at all), and I'm sorry to say the food wasn't very good for the prices they charge. I still fail to understand why free wifi isn't available in all areas of upmarket hotels like this (not just the lobby) but in more basic hotels it is commonplace.

Quiet location, clean rooms and helpful staff. Would stay in Zamalek and hotel again.

Cost was on the high side for what you get. Hotel has long term residents and they were noisy and cooked in rooms late at night.

Very friendly. Well located. Fabulous breakfast. Pool heated and with lovely aspect next to the Nile. Gym well equipped. Good value with children. Would definitely stay again.

Every thing was nice but I didn't use the restaurants so I don't know about the food.

Missing the breakfast buffet

As a solo female traveller felt safe. Staff go out of their way to accommodate you, very friendly, make you feel at home. Rooms are lovely, very clean. Restaurants offer nice selection of food. Presentation of food very good. Will definitely go back and can highly recommend it to fellow travellers.

The room description was not matching the posted on the reservation ,the staff showed understanding and changed it accordingly (despite 1 hour for checkin )

Hilton staff was first class. They were very flexible in accommodating to my requests.

The location of the hotel is perfect and the view of my room to the Nile river was fantastic. I enjoyed the pool with the Nile river view a lot. It is easy to get a taxi and visit different places in Cairo. The area is a high standard area and very safe. Room is excellent with a lot of facilities and kitchen is very well equipped. The only problem is lacking of different types of resturants, but it there are a lot of other resturants around the area.

It is far too expensive. I was shocked by how small the lobby was and the reception is like a small office table it took me more than 20 minutes to complete my check out. The swimming pool is the size of kids pool. Any how I was very sorry to stay there.

عدم توفر المناديل علي طاولة الطعام في المطعم

١- موقع الفندق وإطلالته ٢- هدوء الفندق مالم يكن هناك حفلات ٣- الأمان المتوفر في الفندق ٤- تعامل الموظفين جيد ومحترم رغم أنهم لا يحققون رغبات النزلاء دائماً

١- عدم وجود مكان لائق للصلاة ٢- تكاليف الإنترنت ٢- عدم اشتمال الأجر على الإفطار وبالتالي تدفع ١٢٠ جنيه لكل إفطار ٣- عدم احترام راحة النزيل بإقامة الحفلات الصاخبة لوقت متأخر من الليل ٤- لاتحقق رغبة النزيل في اختيار الغرف رغم عدم إشغال الفندق كاملا كما يقول الموظفون ٥- غلاء الوجبات ٦- ليس هناك هواتف مباشرة للخدمات وإنما يكون ذلك من خلال الاستقبال

انتك. تدفع مبلغ لا باس به مقابل الغرفة مع عدم توفر الإنترنت الذي يجبرونك على دفع ٨٠ جنيه مقابل ٢٤ ساعة و هذا شيء غير مقبول في عصر التكنولوجيا . النت متوفر مجاني في ابسط المقاهي اليوم فما بالك بالفنادق الفاخرة . أني اعتبر هذا ابتزاز في حق الحريف و شكرا

Wir waren sehr zufrieden, es hat alles gestimmt. Freundlicher und prompter Service, Zimmer und Hotel im Allgemeinen sehr sauber, gute Ausstattung (inkl. Bügelbrett und -eisen, Wasserkocher etc.) Wasser, Tee und Kaffee gab es jeden Tag kostenlos auf dem Zimmer. Umfangreiches Fernsehprogramm inkl. ZDF! :-)

The timings for the business center and the fitness center were a little short. Especially when you end up spending all day out in the city and return to the hotel around 10 to find all these opportunities closed.

I did not like being extra charged for the wireless internet in room, they also needed 200usd pre-deposit from my credit card for possible extra charges for room

Outstanding staff - the housekeeping was faultless. The space in the rooms was fantastic. The gym was easy to use and quiet through the day.

Smoking rooms......but that's just the culture in Egypt.
