This is a nice, clean hotel, fairly close to the pyramids (not very close, but about 10-15 minutes on foot). The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the facilities have everything that could be needed. The staff is very friendly and extremely accommodating: they happily moved us to another room when we realized the one they had put us in was a smoking room, and they opened (and staffed) the rooftop terrace for us when we asked if we could use it. The restaurant / bar on the rooftop is nice, and you can see the pyramids from there. The breakfast buffet is very copious. Overall a great value, I can't think of anything to complain about. Like most places in Cairo, you get noise polluted quickly - even though you can't really blame the hotel for that. The double pane window don't stop the honking from the street or the 5:00am call to prayer from the mosque immediately next to the hotel. This is hardly an inconvenience, but bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Nice staff Close to the pyramids For somebody not used to a busy big city and lots and lots of traffic and other noises in the middle of the night it can be problematic to sleep or relax. A constuction work was going on all night close to the hotel. I found it very strange but apparently it's a normal part of life in Cairo.

Most of the staff obviously tried to do a good job. We arrived before check-in time and they could find us a room The room was okay but nothing special, cleaning service quite late during the day. We booked for the Husa Pyramids hotel. They did sent us several advertising e-mails ahead of our stay, but forgot to mention that hey had changed the name. It took our taxi driver long to find it. The restaurants in the hotel were on low service: only one open and half of the menu was not on offer. So as vegatarians it was pizza or pasta.

I was really nervous about this hotel based on some off reviews I had read. However from my own experience I can say that this hotel met my general needs with a few added bonuses which had not been mentioned in any of the hotels info such as (ballroom, hairdressers, swimming pool, buffet breakfast, wifi). I specifically stayed in the triple room with my sis and mum. My only issue was the sofa head was horrendous it seriously was uncomfortable to sleep in so be warned. The toilet was adequet and clean. The breakfast was a large spread which was a bonus. Hotel staff were respectful and helpful. The only issues here was the sofa/couch bed. Terrible should be removed from the triple room. Another issue is the location. It's in a very busy place and as you'll soon come to know the Egyptians love honking their horns all throughout the night which will get annoying but shouldn't be too much of an issue. Location of hotel was kind of difficult to find the driver took over 3 hours to finally get us their on the first night from the hotel so bare in mind the right info for traveling to the hotel.

Overall I had a good stay. Except for the one person in my dislike, all the guys at the reception were very friendly and polite, the staff in all are nice. The room was very clean and regularly serviced. Didn't have any dinners as I prefer to eat outside, but the included breakfast, was a good open buffet with a variety of nice food. The one person who checked me in who was somewhat rude and wanted me to pay $40 to check me in 2-3 hours earlier despite my prior approved request.

It was cheap. And the bed was clean. First, it was advertised on Booking as a Husa hotel and with anther name, which was misleading (even to find it: street names and numbers mean nothing in Cairo). Second, all common spaces (lift, hall, stairs) are very dirty. And some elements in the room too. Only bed and bathroom are ok. Finnally, half of the rooms are very noisy due to the huge traffic and claxoning; and for all, the morning call to pray (5 and 5.30 am) through loudspeakers is so close to the hotel and so incredibly loud that it's worst than an war alarm.

I Love The Staff, they are just wonderful, you know, all of them are just so, sweet, cheerful, always smiling, and I like all of them, they are so friendly to the core.. I must tell you, all the staff will just give you the best of what you want.. I was angry with the Night Manager and wanted to re book my stay in another hotel for another 5 nights, but day Manager talked to me in a very sweet polite way and I changed my mind immediately booked another 5 nights. Booking.com, I would like you to pass my message to this hotel. The Manager (Mr. Mohammed) even made my guest whom I invited to stay for 40 nights, left after 5 nights to another Hotel. I wanted to be rude with him, but I did my best to calm myself down. Well, he is very rude.. I must say so...

Nice Wifi. Nice contacts. They have all what I needed. The tour agency working at that place is just great. If you want to go walking to the pyramids ask for a guy to go with you since the avenue is quite messy and it may scare someone who is not use to it. They give you good offers. You can lower the price given though. I know is not a 4 star hotel but for the price is quite excellent. I prefer to comment on the tour agency working over there. I don't recommend the cruise night buffet. I think Sheraton hotel offers a better cruise, this cruise is just crappy. I arrived at 11pm so it was scary for me, the zone is horrible. At the worst was that Husa Hotel is in fact Garathewea (or smthg like that I forgot the original name) Hotel. So print the arabic name of the hotel since people in the street don't speak english. They get the arabic words but Husa Hotel is not written anywhere so be aware the hotel name in arabic is something like GArathewea

The location of the hotel is ideal if your main aim is to visit the Pyramids of Giza. Pyramids view from roof top restaurant was breath taking. All staff members were generally friendly. It is located on main Haram road. Buffet Breakfast was tasty and well served. It was a good value for money. Free wifi was effective even in rooms. Room and corridors cleanliness need improvement. The only one lift / elevator need replacement, being out-dated and vintage.
