The hotel is in good shape, the rooms are large and comfortable, the beds are excellent, there are great restaurants in the hotel. The location is close to everything

Very clean and friendly/helpful staff. Has recovered well from its past problems associated with the revolution.

I had no idea prior to booking that the reason the rates were so low was due to two raids the hotel was victim to post revolution.

the bed was comfortable but still old hotel and over priced

not a 5 star. old hotel and over priced. many people out side the hotel give you a hard time every time you leave the hotel to go for a walk. Cairo not a very nice place to take a hoilday. high tax and service fee fro everything.

dusty and untidy outside the hotel where entrance road for cars etc is under repair that seems to be taking ages;

Rooms are comfortable if a little dated, but beds are really comfortable. Location is good, 5 mins to Tahrir.

The area around the hotel has turned to crap following the revolution, advise caution if you are walking a long the corniche in the early hours. Staff look a little miserable, which is understandable, but I'm used to Dubai hospitality ;) Watch out for dodgy taxi drivers right outside hotel entrance.

Service was amazing!! Breakfast and their restaurant food was delicious. The view from my room was stunning. Room was spacious and very clean. Overall and amazing place to stay location wise it could be better.

I liked the location,I recomend booking a driver to collect you from the airport to the hotel as this was done very quick and you did not have to wait outside long ques toget your visa....it cost me 30 british pounds which is about 300 egyptian dollars

Understanding the needs of the guests. Excellent location overlooking Nile river with Egyptian museum in close proximity.

Service & Food

There is no proper lounge at reception for the guests to sit for a while or relax.

The Lebanese Restaurant was good.

On the whole, the hotel staff were not helpful. The Concierge, Doorman and Bell Men were terrible. They lied and would only provide information for tips or the opportunity to make money from a 3rd party (tour guide, taxi driver etc.) The brand of InterContinental is damaged by this hotel. The hotel is in poor condition and dirty. The service is basic - similar to a budget hotel in Europe of North America. I did not feel safe. The hotel guests are targeted by local traders as soon as you leave the entrance even before exiting the drive way. The hotel takes no action to assist / protect you. The hotel is not value for money for the price paid.

Room provides the perfect look on the Nile River and the breakfast was awesome which I have never experience during lot of previous experience.

Great Nile view, nice breakfast, walking distance to Egyptian museum and very friendly staff.

Pit expensive.
