Our first hotel to visit in our honeymoon, after we entered the hotel, we had wonderful greetings and congratulations for our marriage and promises of a great stay and a special dinner at the restaurant and surprises in the room.
after a 45 minutes wait. we finally entered the room, and we were surprised (as promised) that the room was a twin bedroom, not a double. We asked for another room, or an upgrade, nothing was available, the staff promised us an upgrade the second day, but for the time being, they will join the two single beds together. we waited more than an hour and a half until someone came and joined the beds.
after that we went to check out our "Special Dinner" that was promised to us by I believe the F&B manager. We didn't find him, so we went to the restaurant, gave them our room number (thinking he will know what to do, after all the F&B manager said a special dinner was prepared to us) anyways, no one recognized us, so we just left and decided to order room service.
The second day we waited to be contacted by the reception for the upgrade, but no one did. Here's when we decided our 5 nights at Monte Carlo will be cut down to just the one, and that we will not ruin our honeymoon with unprofessional treatment to "Egyptians only" as it seemed to us.
Overall Evaluation, the worst Hotel experience I ever had. Biased staff, broken promises, terrace in room was not clean, bad smell in the walkway to the room from the reception, huge variety of food on breakfast, but didn't taste good, going back and forth to the reception more than 5 times with waiting not less than 15 minutes to answer our inquiry.
Conclusion: Will never go there again.
