Stayed here a few times before. The Pola is good value for money hotel, a little tired but to be expected for the price. Rooms cleaned daily and are spacious with all necessary amenities. The buffet breakfast wasnt quite as large as it has been previously but this could be due to the economic climate in egypt. However still managed to find enough to get by. In a good position for town and near busy area for many good restaurants. Roof top pool small but the area is ideal for sunbathing and towels are provided which is useful.

The location and nothing else. I have stayed at the New Pola on several trips during the past five years and it has been in steady decline due to the lack of tourism following the Egyptian revolution. The premises are no longer being well maintained and my room was so bad (a broken air conditioner, leaking toilet and no hot water) that I moved to another hotel in Luxor.

Breakfast was awful .. I stayed 9 days at the hotel and I only had the breakfast once in my first day . I decided not to have the brakfast any more because it wasn't hygenic not healthy theey served the instant coffe in a tray without cover and you have to take your coffee powder from that tray which was covered with flies. Also the powder milk was served same way in a tray . the bread was dry and very old and I regeret that I booked at that hotel >> by the way I was the only guest at that hotel !! they truned the light in the recption to save power !! it was very dark reception

Very friendly and easy access to Luxor centre, karnak and surrounding area. great view from pool and service was very good. Had lovely view from balcony and housemaid service good, clean towels and bed every day although towels have seen better days they were clean. Food was fine for the money and being a lone traveller I found this hotel a good choice. I will be going back all being well. Only down point really was the hair dryer in my room packed in after couple days and did not get it fixed or replacement, but this was no hardship.

Value for money is the first thing I would like to mention. Location is convenient....10 Minutes walk from the railway / bus station & 5 minutes walk from the Winter Palace Hotel where one can find most of the travel agencies. Staffs are helpful. Hotel has a small but nice swimming pool in the terrace. One can have nice view of the Nile & West bank from the terrace. Quality of the breakfast. Towels provided were old & soiled.

Price, location, the staff, comfortable room (kept clean after the first day), the pool on the roof, the views of the Nile and the Valley of the Kings... To anyone looking for a great holiday, go to Luxor. It is safe, cheap and so full of amazing things to see, and the people will be so happy to see you. I LOVE it...been five times. My arrival seemed to be a surprise although I had booked, my room wasn't ready (clean), breakfast was not up to standard, and the hotel was grubby and sad - due in most cases to lack of overseas guests...seems to be for Egyptians tourists now. Staff need more English, especially on the front desk. I want to recommend it, but until general cleanliness and meals are improved, I can't.

Location of hotel was good Very limited breakfast available, had to ask every morning for sliced bread and butter, same plates of breakfast used next day if not eaten. Chiller cabinet for buying cold drinks not working, pool towels not collected, no clean towels available at pool.

Hotel price is relatively cheap (maybe due to the political instability). Quite good location, not far from Luxor temple, the market and the main cruise pier. The hotel provides Wifi internet for free if booking though Booking.com, however it requires a special log-in which you couldn't get it if the IT guy is not around. Considered as a 3 star hotel. This hotel is a lot of improvement especially for its hygiene. The room is quite old and not that clean. Hotel staffs are quite ok but do not speak English, so they are quite useless in a way.

Meget god valuta for pengene.

I paid 90$ for double room for three nights in Dec. Considering the quality of this hotel, three stars hotel, it was not overpriced. Free breakfast, clean bed sheet, new towel, TV(CNN), it was not bad. But I recommend that you bring a printed the confirmation email from booking.com to make clear as they did not check it on the internet, in my case, so they might ask more money than you booked. Anyway, I could sleep well here.

Comfy bed, good location, quiet pool which I had all to myself. . Be prepared for some mosquitos and loud music from cafe close by till midnight. Ask for rooms at the back to avoid noise all night from the main road. Views at the front to the Nile obscured by tall trees.
