The facilities and rooms were nicely decorated and clean. The grounds and pools were very nice. The location is good, except for having to cross a major roadway to get to the beach and the promenade. The spa services were also quite good and reasonably priced. I have two general issues with this hotel. Outside food and beverages are NOT allowed inside the hotel, even water. I hope you don't have to change anything about your reservation or booking. We needed to stay extra nights and we were charged an excessive amount per night and were required to pay cash, not credit card. It also seemed at times that the front desk personnel were not very accommodating and would take any advantage they could to get more money from you. |

Location is great, lantern and furniture are remarkable. Staff is friendly. Sweeming pools are nice and clean. Variety of food for breakfast could be better. Chief needs some training in cooking meat dishes: they are either too salty or spicy. Couple of stupid rules need to be removed: no outside food and drinks are allowed (you can easily sneak it, but it is still very annoying); 20 pounds per person beach charge on the last day of staying (it's unclear why). |

The room is comfortable We reserved and paid for superior room with balcony but given us room without balcony instead. When enquired about it, the reception said the balcony rooms are full, and we can switch to the standard room (lower grade, without balcony and view) if we are not satisfied with the superior room. If you are going to the beach on the last day of your stay, they are charging you entrance fees to the beach. Ridiculous and unreasonable act! Also, there are no outside food and beverage into the hotel, not even the drinking water!! They expect you buy all from them. No boiler and coffee maker provided in the room for a 4-star hotel. Sighs.... |

Check in was prompt and without issue. The triple room and en suite bathroom were adequately sized and equipped. The location was also adequate, about 20 minutes walk into Naama Bay, or 3 not very cost effective minutes by taxi. If you know how to haggle, you can make the trip for 5LE to 15LE depending on the time of day. The pools looked nice and clean, but did not have time to use them. The landscaping was not bad, and the architecture from the outside is certainly impressive, with a real eastern mystique. Service needs to be warmer, especially at reception where staff were icy, and did not go out of their way to help (e.g. did not make a local phone call when our transport was late, even when asked). The rest of the staff: porters, cleaners, were thankfully very helpful and friendly. The quality of the (standard) room was average at most. Small issues like a noisy air conditioning system, and leaking fridge on the first day. The bathroom was a bigger disappointment, with the shower leaking water out throughout our stay, due to poor design of the shower tray and broken shower screen. Finally, breakfast was amateurish. Hot dishes looked very unappetising and the cold selection was limited apart from many pastries. |

Our stay was an excellent experience. Great value for money on all counts: accommodation, food, spa / beauty salon, facilities. Very polite, smiling and professional staff. Great seaside plus three swimming pools. Absolutely great decoration and ... sparkling clean. At the same time: high speed, easy access Internet at the Lobby (therefore easy to keep up with work while away). Offers peace and quiet, while being very close to all amenities, shopping and buzz (if desired). |

Helpful staff, breakfast good but close at 10am! Near the beach, 5min walk. Near the main road with all attractions. Nice 3 pools. Rooms are nice. Good price. Wireless connection free near one pool Very noisy with music all day at the pool. Rooms not big enough. Spa and hairdresser are disaster |

Aside from those on reception staff were generally good. Very close to the beach and city center. Both my girlfriend and myself got food poisoning on the first night from the dinner buffet. We are 99% sure it was the buffet (had bread rolls for breakfast and no lunch and were very strict with hygiene). Raised this with reception and they provided only excuses and insisted that they have never had any complaints regarding the buffet in respect to food poisoning. This seemed very implausable and this is an entirely wrong approach in regards to maintaining the highest food safety standards. If someone complained about being poisoned to them I would expect the hotel to take it seriously and investigate. Buffets are inheriently high risk for food poisoning and in Egypt you are compounding the risk. We were sick for the full 5 days we were in Sharm and it ruined our experience which otherwise would have been very good (we took the suggested medicine from the pharmacist near the hotel but ended up having to take antibiotics after we left Egypt). Do not believe the hotel's insistence that the food is safe (we foolishly believed them). If you do have the buffet, exercise the usual rules and keep to dry products etc. McDonalds is just outside the hotel and other chains near the center like TGIF. Use these restraunts instead and don't use the hotels. The hotel also insists that you need to buy water etc from them. This would be ok if they were reasonably priced but they are not. |

Rien. |
