Very good,

Simple but nice hotel. Nice location, stuff and the view is amazing. Mister Kamal Ali is a very nice person! I really recommend it. Just be careful with the sellers around Cairo. they try to persuade tourists with high prices.

The view really is incredible - you're as close to the Pyramids as you can possibly be. I was able to watch them in the morning with the sun rising whilst I ate my breakfast. And the staff are very friendly and kind. I was picked up from the airport on time and when I arrived I was taken straight up to the balcony in time to watch the sound and light show. I felt extremely welcome here. This is definitely a low end hotel in terms of room facilities, but I would emphasise that this is entirely made up for by the view and the kindness of the staff. Unfortunately, it is very noisy outside during the night so just remember to bring ear plugs.

As a backpacker, staying at the pvi was a luxury, but all things considered, this hotel was very inexpensive for the regular traveler, and to be honest, they could charge a lot more and get away with it. The staff was absolutely fantastic, friendly, efficient, genuinely helpful. The breakfast was not of my liking, as it was too greasy, with cold fries/chips, but a typical Egypian meal- not necessarily bad. But what this hotel extra special is the view. Without any doubt, they have the best rooftop in this entire planet!!! The view is absolutely priceless, breathtaking! And at night you get a free show with your diner, as you can watch the Sound & Light show from the rooftop, perhaps drinking a beer, or oking shisha. Stay here!!! You won't believe such view is available to you!

The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much for them. Rooms were clean and tidy and the views from the roof must be the envy of the big hotel chains. The fresh breads at breakfast were fantastic and although breakfast was a little unusual for our western taste, we easily adapted it. The evening light and sound shows over the Giza plateau were a great extra treat.

Great wifi; free calls home via VoIP application (MagicJack); best traditional home-cooked breakfast (get it before 8:30 before the falafel loses its crunch); comfortable layout with rooms around several common sitting areas (but rarely used because you can sit on the rooftop terrace and stare at the sphinx and pyramids). Staff is phenomenal, very professional and never pushy like the rest of the tourist industry just outside your door. We recommend using them for drivers and tours. We have a friend who lives in Cairo and she confirmed their prices are "tourist prices" but fair. And reliable. We wanted a camel ride and Yassir took us to the government spot where prices are fixed and we weren't overrun by camel drivers offering "free" rides and photo pops. They're a lot of fun; we laughed a lot with this bunch. Not really a negative for the hotel, but be sure to get one of the hotel guys to write down instructions for you to show cab drivers if they dont speak English. Once we got lost when a cab driver returned us to Sphinx Square instead of the Sphinx, so we had to call the hotel and Samy, the owner gave the cabbie directions.

Staynig in PVI was one of the highlights. Not only the reviews dont lie about the wonder of the location, from the terrace the pyramids and the sphinx is truly on the palm of your hand, but the staff is simply amazing. Samy, the chief, takes care of every need with the great help of all others. We stayed for 2 days, second night turning into 2013. Wonderful location by the pyramids allowed us to be in the area first thing in the morning which saves you a lot of hustle. The second day/evening/night (going into 2013) was wonderful for the friendly atmosphere. If you want to have a nice dinner one evening, go to one of the restaurants of Mena House Oberoi - the contrast between the walk there through the local streets and the palace (now hotel and restaurants) is amazing and the food is great. The service offered (trips, getting you take away dinner or a camel/horse, sisha, etc) are reasonbably priced and with people you know from the hotel, so enjoy. On the other hand, no one pushes you into taking a trip with them, so you feel free to choose whatever you fancy. Pick up from airport works perfectly and is for free, way back will cost you 120 L.E., which is not cheap, but is still within the category of reasonable and is without problems. I must say again - staying in PVI was one the highlights of our trip through Egypt. This is probably the first time when I have no negative comments.

100 points for the location!!! - you can see the pyramids from its roof. The staff is quite friendly and the airport pick-up included in the price is very convenient. Internet working in the hostel free of charge. It is a good budget destination if you can stomach the negatives. They lie in the room description - I've booked a "one bedroom apartment with kitchen" which turned to be an ordinary room with two double beds while the "spacious living room" and the kitchen were public and we had other people occupying those areas during the day! Also the kitchen was most probably the only kitchen as the staff was preparing breakfast for other guests in it - which means, you will be waken up 6am. The breakfast is disgusting for western stomachs. Do not be fooled into buying a pyramid trip as you will be happy to just walk to the pyramids - the distance is maybe 2km return trip while the staff claims it is 7km. Don't let them organize your taxi if you are not particularly interested in mature (>21 year old) dirty cars.

Fantastic! The rooms are very clean, the staff helpful in every way and very supportive! Unbelievable customer service! Coffee, tea and shisha always ready! Wonderful and friendly staff! And the view......!!!! This has been over every expectation I ever would have had. What a view! Pyramids and sphynx infront of you on the roof terrace, watched the light show every night for free from there! :) Well, just imagine, a turkish coffee, a shisha and a very entertaining show for free with a panorama to dream of! I will be back there again for sure! 100% Maybe the toilet door could be fixed as it took a bit of strenght to open it again. :)

This was an extraordinary stay I enjoyed very much. The location of the Hotel is outstanding, with a fabuloust roof terrace in the closesd distance to the sphinx & pyramids. But also the always very helpulf and warm extra service of the Hotel Management is a catory at it`s own.. For example, they organized for me easily almost my whole trip in Egypt and Sinai which was very pleasant and well prepared. WLAN and PC for guest are also available AND working well.
