Location (right on the Nile); Beautiful and well maintained gardens: Staff very accommodating and friendly; Value for money; Main pool very well designed; Upgraded to higher room category; Great views from higher rooms Is not 1km from the Luxor Temple as advertised (more like 5km); Squash courts unusable as never been cleaned; Is not 5 star (more like 3.5); 2nd pool a little dirty; Food quality unpredictable (although to be expected in Egypt); Some rooms desperately need renovation |

The stay was good. When we had left the room for site seeing, the hotel technicians entered our room and made an absolute mess of the room and bathroom. On complaint to the office manager, they provided an alternate room, but it was an inferior view and had no balcony. See above. Else all others was fine. |

Breakfast was good. Pool area and outside grounds were well kept. The lobby area was clean and inviting. Restaurants were affordable and staff friendly. The sheets were dirty the first night we stayed and when clean sheets arrived a fly was found dead in the sheets. There was no shampoo or conditioner supplied for showering. The safe never properly worked making us worry that it may have been tampered with while we were out. |

To be honest I found the staff at the hotel, the most unhelpful and rude people who lacked many customer care qualities. I have never felt so humiliated and embarrassed then I did when trying to ask and recieve help at reception. Members of staff acted as if I didn't exist and were reluctant to help in anyway. |

The gardens. pool and Nile views were all excellent. Although listed as a 5* hotel in terms of accommodation I would rate it 2-3. Service was poor (staff seemed to go from the request to the tip with no concept of service in between. Tips were not only expected but openly solicited for the most simple tasks. I tried 3 restaurants before deciding to eat out - food and drink choice was extremely poor, slow in arriving and lukewarm at best. |

Excellent location by the river Nile. Lots of amenities. Friendly staff. Reliability of service (they promise to do something but then nothing happens), quality of food (plentiful but not of very high quality) |
