The only problem was that the simple wooden huts are only available on the 6th floor & no lift, other than that the hotel, food, & the stuff are great. Will defiantly go there again.
Beach, views, quiet location, closeness to Soho square
Poor breakfasts, got poisoned from seafood pizza at the beach cafe. Prices for accommodation on the place are cheaper than on this website. Never take a wooden hut with shared bathroom unless you are in a superlow budget, it's a torture in the heat. Get ready to pay a lot for taxi as the place is far away from entertainment news spots and transport is very hard to catch nearby.
Sharks Bay is amazing, the café near the beach really fascinating
friendly staff WLAN on the beach value for money
Great room with fantastic views over the bay, good breakfast, friendly staff. Brilliant snorkelling off the jetty and had a wonderful day out on the boat, snorkelling at nearby Tiran Island, with a delicious lunch included. If nightlife is your thing then this isn't the place for you, but for me it was perfect!! Can't wait to go back!
Beverly, Adel & Hosna were fantastically helpful. Thanks guys.
The location is great, very close to the beach and there is a local reef for snorkeling. Diving club is located right on the territory of the hotel, so no transfers are needed, it is possible to dive both from the boat and from the shore. Diving club has several instructors, and you can take most of padi courses there. Rafat at the reception is very helpful, he can organize all the group and private excursions. Staff speaks very good English, both in the hotel and at the diving club. The restaurant chief is great, squid and fish dishes are the best. Breakfast is big and various. The best option, if you want to do diving and have a nice rest. Rooms in bedouin village are air-conditioned, very clean and have nice balconies. The shower works excellent, if you experience a problem with getting hot water - just tell the reception about it, they have forgotten to push some button maybe, as hot water appeared in 10 minutes.
There is a very noisy Russian hotel nearby with loud music, luckily that does not last till late at night. Also I would like to warn people who have problems with climbing stairs: bedouin village and view huts require climbing some steps, so if you do not feel like it, choose a beach cabin instead. Or you can consider these stairs as extra exercise :)
- Great house reef - Nice people all over the place, staff and guests - Very little money for good value
- Showers and Toilets a bit run down
Staff at reception were VERY helpful. Especially advising or organizing sightseeing or transportation for us. TIP: Use the reception for Taxi, tours or other excursions and choose to pay the hotel instead of the drivers... it is cheaper and drivers will always try to bargain! Excellent location, and plenty to do around. Great scenery too.
Too much dust, but i would expect that everywhere in Egypt. Loads of mosquitoes! Take an afterbite with you (Insect repellers don't work much)
The restaurant servers good food with lot of variation, mostly european style.
No clear schema on when the diving starts in the morning. Most days we waited +30 minutes before actual takeoff. We missed the change to start first, while we were next to the jetty
Friendly hotel staff and good location for diving. Nice food freshly prepared and good value. Bedouin rooms have great views (not all).
The poor communication between the onsite dive school manager and the boat team and divers. Some noise from large Russian hotel along the bay spoils it for all.
Place, view, beach, staff, café
No elevators Many ships near to the swimming area on the beach
Really enjoyed my stay here - amazing snorkelling right off the jetty and a pretty beach to swim at. Sharks bay is fairly quiet so a good place to have a relaxing getaway & definitely nicer than Naama Bay or Maya bay. Breakfast was really good & the restaurant food great with plenty of variety. The Bedouin café was well located and having a shisha while watching the sunset is always nice! Would highly recommend this place and the area to stay in
It was hard to get the information about wireless networks to connect to the internet, had to ask the other tourists! Had to go with another dive company to a few sites as they cancelled some boat trips to the places we wanted to go to
Food Proximity To Beach
Room could've been slightly more modern.
The hotel is characterized by warmth and tranquility, at night or in the morning which helps to relax and recreation and hotel staff were friendly specially Mr.Refaat "Reception" and Chefs are polite, very special site for diving, snorkeling and swimming, maritime activities enjoyable, Bedouin restaurant and beach bar good designed.
No night activities, 20 minutes away by car from downtown and Naama bay.
Very nice diving village outside of the busy centre of Sharm's. We did our Open water diving course, and it was great being on the beach while doing it and not stuck in a class room somewhere on holiday. Very good instructors with safety in mind. Liked that it was a more authentic village where locals also came. If you are looking for 5-star luxury, this is not it. However, it is value for money in a clean environment right on the beach. Would recommend it to people learning to dive or doing diving courses!
Very quiet in the evenings, but did not bother us, since we took a short taxi ride to Naama Bay for the nights (only 2 in 7) we felt like going out to a busier scene.
