Staff were very helpful. Gym on of the best in cairo. Most of the hotel room were going under renovation. It is not your hotel if you looking for quietness at this time. Also staff while cleaning rooms in the morning they chat in loud voices I had to alert management

The gym is big and you can use sauna and other facilities freely. Breakfast was fair. Room are good size and staff always try to help. The hotel is littel old and need a lot of mentenance and that what they have been doing for a while now, painting walls, fixing watter problems and other issues.

The hotel is in Heliopolis next to Nadi al-Shams and close to the airport. You have to go on a long drive through the complex to reach the front of the hotel. The entire complex is walled off and a great respite for the hustle and bustle of Cairo, though the location is admittedly far from downtown and the major sites. I was upgraded to a poolview room and found my room, especially the bathroom, clean and in good order. The staff was especially helpful and courteous. There are several decent restaurants in the hotel, though I didn't frequent them often, and the breakfast buffet was a great option to have each morning. There is a bank, atm and gift shop in the main building and a few souvenir shops just outside. More food and shopping choices were less than 15 minutes away (by taxi) at City Stars Mall. The business center had 2 computers and you can print for 5 egyptian pounds a page. The free shuttle to the airport was great as well. Didn't take advantage of the pool though I plan to in the future. It was a great, relaxing stay and I'd be happy to return here in the future.

Staff is nice, and kept checking if we needed anything. I got what I requested (extra bed and ironing board). In addition, it was nice that it close to a coffee shop where we went at night when we didn't feel like going out of the hotel in the traffic. The location is good if you're staying in town and have specific places you want to be close to, but most of the places we wanted to go to were far (like the nile cruise, the zoo) so traffic was very bad and took time to get there.

I selected the Hotel on the basis that I'd stayed there before and it was some distance from the Nile-adjacent hotels where I'd been to before; I wished to avoid being in the Tahrir Square area. The staff were charming and indeed remembered me from my previous visit almost exactly a year ago. The Spa is very convenient, clean, and pleasant and their italian restaurant superb....indeed I ate exactly the same dishes the two nights running and they were outstanding. The Concierge, Mr Sharif was all one would wish for in a hotel concierge. The El Salaam is a very comfortable hotel and my Cairo hotel-of-choice if I have when I have business on the e side of the city. My only gripe was a blocked sink in my bathroom which I coped with for three days as I forgot to mention it....on doing so at check-out the staff were aghast I hadn't reported it earlier. My recommendation to travellers......stay there !

To be honest I liked everything I seen and found with the hotel and I would definily come back to stay at the hotel again. Like I said I like everything about the hotel beside one thing was a let down for me was the access to the internet, but I was told that there was a problem with the line itself. Like I said I loved the hotel.

Staff was very kind and available. Nice to have 4 restaurants inside the hotel to choose from. They have a fleet of taxis that work for the hotel and are more reliable normal taxis you find on the streets. In room dining was also good and practical for breakfast and dinner. Squash court was really a nice option to stress out. Internet speed was very low, regardless of good coverage and signal strength. Our room was too cold, even with ac off all the time (we always needed blankets to sleep at night). Room space was limited for 3 people. Anyway, overall evaluation is still very good for this hotel.

Good service, the location near the airport is excellent for business, the gym for some fast exercising, the food in Italian restaurant, the comfort and clean room Very expensive food and drinks, more than the standards that the hotel justify.
