For starters, the shady guy that picked me up tried to rip me off horribly with his tour deal as soon as I arrived. Even after bargaining, I ended up paying more then I should have... That leaves a shocking impression straight up when you arrive at a hotel and the owner tries to rip you off. They had no recollection of my booking, and put me in some strange room with 3 beds, even though I ordered a single. The owner then kept trying to convince me, after paying, to stay in his 'other hotel' and advised me to 'not mention this to the guy on the desk, which had alarm bells ringing straight away. The fan and air conditioning was ordinary, in the room, so the room was very very hot. The bathroom was filthy as well. The staff were not at all helpful ... this was the worst bit. Their advertisement clearly stated wi-fi was available, yet it looked like it hadn't been used in years, and had a rip in the wire. Staff were of no use trying to fix this, and I had to go and discover this for myself, despite their adamant attitude that it would work. The kids running the reception looked about 15, and the 'owner' who was quite rude, and very dodgy, wasn't there. I checked out the first day and went down the road to The Oasis, which was cheaper, more comfortable, and much more friendly. I wouldn't board my dog at The Teacher Hotel, and I would not trust anyone who works there in the slightest. Worst accommodation I've booked so far in Europe.
