The location and the room size
The cleaning of the room
They gave us a free upgrade to even better rooms, brought us fruit to our rooms and the free dinner eases the pressure on your budget. The terrace with the panoramic view of the bay is wonderful. One of the members of staff, Ahmed Latib, actually lent me his private kettle when I wanted to make tea in my room! We spent a lot of time in the hotel relaxing and not so much time exploring the city because it was so nice. Definitely want to come back!
From the moment I walked in, the young lady at the reception was very pleasant and informed me of a complimentary room upgrade. The gentleman who escorted me to my room gave me a brief about the hotel's history. The room was clean, had all the amenities, and the bed was comfortable.
The only down side is the street noise at night, but of course you are in down town Alexandria so you wouldn't expect otherwise.
Location is excellant staff are very helpfully and good service
The room was perfect ,nice view, the breakfast was tasty the staff were very freindly
The TV was very bad ,the signal was poor with only 3 to 4 chanels
Amazing view.. incredible hospitality. . All in a place built over a century ago with perfection in every detail.
it's ma place. try it
Mr. Labib Ahmed, the Customer Service Manager, warmly welcomed me as soon as I entered the beautiful ornate lobby of the Windsor Palace Hotel in Alexandria, Egypt recently. He extended a cool welcome drink to compliment the check-in process and pointed out the tray of sweets for enjoyment in the mornings and afternoons. The Windsor is a lovely classic “old world” hotel with high ceilings in the lobby, the bedrooms and the dining areas. Mr. Ahmed’s service orientation extended throughout all of the staff during my stay, which made for a very comfortable, relaxed and pleasant experience. The Windsor is located right in front of the Mediterranean Sea, providing magnificent views of the sea from the rooftop terrace where drinks of all kinds are served as well as shisha and easy-listening background music. The sea view is stunning both day and night. The lobby has live soft-piano music in the evening as well. Because the hotel is located on the corniche, it is very convenient to walk along the seaside and take in the sights. It is about a half hour walk to the Citadel in one direction and the Alexandria Library in the other. As one would expect, there are excellent seafood restaurants within walking distance and elsewhere. In short, the Windsor offers a step back into old world elegance, service and hospitality. It is a great value. The price is very reasonable and includes a breakfast buffet and light dinner, both in a lovely dining room or on the sea view terrace. Mr. Ahmed and his team are gracious and warm and the location is exceptional.
Wifi connection was intermittent
staff were very polite and friendly location They give you fruit fruit to the room
too expensive especially they add 25% to the booking price. Satellite does not work in the rooms The hotel is quite old and need refurbshment
regular visit - love this hotel. It's old, but that's part of the charm. Wonderful staff and everything you need.
I stayed in the Junior Suite Room and the view was amazing. Staffs were extremely friendly and everything was cozy. It is close to Alexandria train station and Alexandria Library.
The traffic infront of the hotel was quite loud, but I guess this is a common thing for all hotels of Alexandria. It gets better by night, so it wasn't a problem for sleeping.
Sepcial thanks goes to the room Service Sahar and the buffet Manager
The rooms the lift, the hotel in general and the outside evening life.
The location is great it is directly facing the sea. The food is good. The staff is very helpful.
The windows are not tight and not sound proof so you can hear the busy street all the time
location is great
the street noise
the people were nice
very good hotel love the location the view the staff. if i get the chance to travel to alexandria，i will definately choose to stay here again .
tub not big enough
beautiful location, antique interiors
Surely it's antique hotel but the facilities could be a bit renovated (the water didn't go out from the shower). Poor breakfast with instant coffee, the window from my "city view" room was to the concrete wall of a slum..
They should hqve noticed to change bed sheets earlier and should noticed my notice through my online booking to empty the mini bar.
Style of the hotel, well kept. Friendly staff. Magnificent roof terras, what a view!
Nice of the traffic.
Location, view, food, service
Everything I could have survived, but the mattress was too old, a dip in the middle I kept rolling in and felt dirty, my guess mites!
Hotel is very nice and the staff very helpful and friendly. The location and view are superb. Food is delicious and breakfast buffet is packed with a wide selection of items. The hotel's room and dining tables are very clean...highly recommended. Special thanks to, Mr. Mostafa. Front desk Mr. Labib Ahmed Front desk Mr. Salama Bellman Ms. Sahar Housekeeping They helped us all the time to enjoy our vacation and spend good time inside the hotel.
The room was not spacious although that I had a special request for a wide room with super king bed, but I have got a small room. It was also near to the elevator & I woke up manytimes at night because of the sound of guests. It was not my first visit to paradise inn but I felt this time as there is a gap in service that can not be accepted by hotels that fall in such luxury category . Upon my check in I was informed that there is a light lunch as a compliment from the hotel and at the time of lunch I found that it was changed to be a light dinner without any notice to the guests. At dinner time they asked me about my room number & while I was eating they told me that I would pay for the dinner and after discussions & check they found out that they were wrong. What's more that upon my check out I found the amount of this dinner is included in my invoice which is corrected at the end.
Breakfast was great . Bathroom is clean and nice. It's a historical hotel .
Its sooooo expensive , and the taxes was 25%, which a hell lot of money .
The view from the balcony was breath taking. The breakfast buffet was very good and fresh. The staff was fantastic and very friendly. Thank you.
Couple if the surrounding building were in bad shape.
Location/ well maintained antique hotel
Not a lot of varieties in breakfast
