Anyway, it lies in a deep alley,and we arrived in the deep night. Finding and walking in to the alley was nightmare,esp,when we heard about gray history about the alleys. Service and circomstance was soso, price was not very reasonable

The location and price was not reasonable compare to other adjacent hotels we stayed the other day.

Great location, clean hotel, very friendly and experienced staff. Good price when bought as a package to include breakfast. Great choice at breakfast.

Noisy outside at night-time. Hot in room with windows closed.

A very pleasant small hotel 5 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the Rambla. Very convenient for the Metro. I really enjoyed my stay and wouldn't hesitate to return to the Acta BCN 40.

the hotel is located in a very poor area and is not safe to walk in at night. The room was the smallest I have ever seen and had no windows!

Definitely good value for your money. We booked just a standard room but it was a split level room so had a decent amount of space. Decor was simple but modern. Bathroom was big (especially for europe) and modern. Location is said to be in the 'seedy' area of barcelona but to be honest, it's absolutely fine. Yes it an area where alot of migrants reside but so what? That doesn't make them criminals. We actually thought it was a great location as it was walking distance to las ramblas, barrio gotic, la mercat de boqueria etc. one warning: make sure you secure a room at the back of the hotel.

Our room was at the front of the hotel, and yes you get a little balcony, but at night the pedestrian street that the hotel is located on is so extremely noisy. It seriously sounded like the people were in our room!! However, if you can get a room at the back of the hotel we think that this hotel is extremely good value for the price that you pay.

Great location, modern and clean

Great location, very close to the ramblas and bus routes. Easy to get to shops and restaurants, all just a short walk away. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful.

Expected to have problems with locals sitting around the hotel area after reading some reviews, but had no problems. The hotel is on a back street so access not so good, and had some building noise during the day, but this always stopped before six pm.

We liked this hotel very much. It was extremely clean and while not extremely spacious, had enough room for a comfortable double bed and a good-sized bathroom with space to change and move around. Nice closets, in-room electronic safe, small flat-screen tv with decent channel selection. The staff were nice and answered questions. We were able to get early check-in after asking ahead with no issues. It was also near the Ramblas action (5-10 min walk) without being right on it. Neighborhood never felt unsafe, quite a few bars and grocery stores on street. No street noise in our room.

Walls thin and could hear vacuuming from housekeeping in other rooms during siesta time. Shower leaked slightly but not significantly.

Good and safe location..The stuff were nice and helpful..the room was clean and the price was reasonable....I enjoyed my stay there =)

The room was tiny...some times we couldn't move

Room was very clean and the staff was very polite and helpful. Also free wi-fi in the hotel was useful for planning daily program for us. Location of the hotel is very good. Two minutes walk to universitat metro station. 15 minutes walk to placa catalunya and la ramblas. There were no security problems we usually left our laptops in hotel room and nothing happened. Also there was a safety box in the room.

The room was very small. It was nearly imposibble for two person standing up at the same time.

It's right in the middle of lively Barcelona. People everywhere (not only tourists). Quite stylish. Good cheap breakfast & working, free wifi.
