Small hotel, helpful staff

It lived up to its promises

Staff is good for a 3 star hotel.

It's cold at night. I caught a cold. The air conditioning is not very good. The tv is so small and there is only Spanish channels, which I don't understand at all.

The room, the exellent shower and comfortable beds.

The staff never smiled. The poor breakfast.

The location was great, with a view of the harbor and the beach 3 blocks away. The room was nice and big, and the rain-shower was wonderful. The staff was friendly.

The bed was uncomfortable. The balcony door and windows were very thin. There was a strong draft and the street was really noisy. Earplugs are a must.

The staff where lovely and very helpful. We arrived early and they sorted a room out for us. I also requested room with a view, which we got. Great location on the marina!! Would stay again.

Good staff,clean rooms,good breakfast & great location.

Take ear plugs it can be very noisy in the rooms.Noise travels from room to room & you can hear everything going on outside in the road to the early hours.

Breakfast needs improvement like orange juice is better not to serve it

Very friendly staff. Very clean, modern and environmentally conscious. Although the room was not heated in winter, you can ask for a card that will allow you to heat the room. It was my second visit and I have always had a room with the view of the marina. Very close to the beach, with a variety of transport (buses, tube and trains) to all areas of Barcelona and the airport. I am sure I will stay at Hotel 54 again!

One has to ask on a daily basis for the card to heat the room.

I have stayed in Barcelona many times and it is only in recent years that I have discovered the fabulous beach area - most people aren't aware that it is the perfect beach destination with one of the most fabulous cities in the world attached! Since my great discovery, I have always stayed at the Hotel 54. It is one of the very few hotels near the beach (3 mins walk to be precise). The hotel is modern, friendly, fab shower and has many rooms overlooking the marina with balconies. And....it has a superb roof top terrace for residents, a great view over Barcelona where you can just chill out with a glass of wine and a book. This area also has some of the best little restaurants and bars, really friendly, really cheap, still quite unspoilt by tourism. I know I sound like a tourist guide - I'm not - this hotel is a hidden gem - in fact I am just thinking that I shouldn't be telling you!! But credit where credit is due

One of the few good hotels right on the main city beach. Modern, with large rooms and all the service you need. Decent breakfast is included, although overall the price is a bit high.

Nice personell. Perfect situated in the city when combining staying at the beach/city.

Bad breakfast, the doors out no isolation.

Had a lovely week at the hotel with my 2 kids. The staff were more than friendly and so helpful. One girl in particular was so kind and helpful to us, I wish I had got her name to thank her, she went above and beyond her duties to make us feel at home and to guide us, so thank you :)

I found the price a bit high

Breakfast had a good variety

(1) Glass walls in bathroom meaning that those in the room could see you using the toilet or showering. (2) Paper thin walls - You could hear everything, I mean everything.

Nice people, real good hotel. To minutes walk to the beach, ten minutes to the old city, El Born. Fine breakfast and å lot of restaurants near by.

The location. Got sea view as requested. Clean. Friendly. Ideal as a base to say trip from.

The hotel was in a safe area of barcelona on the port and just meters away from the beach, With a roof top garden area the staff were english speaking and very helpful, printing directions and supplying tickets for the city sightseeing bus ( a must for seeing all of barcelona`s delights) although tea making facilities were not in the room as standard , I asked and they provided me with a kettle and cups without any charge the buffet breakfast had english, continental and friut with cereal lots of choice on drinks I will visit this hotel again

Very, very noisy for a stay of 4 nigths with a room 1th floor by the traffic ligth. By a longterm booking and questioned for a backside room.was this a bad result.

Perfect, nice design, but do book parking before arriving, hotel only has 2 parking spaces in the public parking and road parking in Barceloneta is normally reserved for residents.

A hand shower instead of a fixed shower would be more practical.
