Tennis and golf facilities
Necessities to book a restaurant 5 days in advance
The beautiful beach and the challenging golf course with the panoramic clubhouse. Also the delicious dinners we had at their famous Michelin star restaurants.
The level of service is terrific
The breakfast is not as good as it should be
Everything!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome hotel with awesome peoples!!!!!!!!! Cleanliness, kindness and fun! :)
Nothing was too much to ask. Staff anticipate your needs before you realise what you need. The Kids Club is run like a separate business with the most enthusiastic, energetic team. Our 6 year old did not want to leave..... Adult only pool facilities very relaxing and a great escape. Shuttle service to the beach totally spoils the customer. Breakfast executed like a military operation but with smiling staff on hand wherever you look.
the swimming pool at mirador.
reservations for the restaurants are bad .
Very high class restaurants. Loved all of them! The Hotel is excellent.
Spa entrance must be free for the guests!
Location Staff Facilities
Honeymoon response (I sent a email a month earlier), but there was nothing prepared for it
The beach and beach restaurant. Cleanliness of the room.
We had a lot of room service because we have a small baby. Every time we ordered something there was always something missing, and the bill was often wrong. With so many English visitors, the staff need to speak better English at a 5 star hotel.
The restaurants , the spa and the fitness !
The place around the hotel is not nice , the beaches are too tourist !
Adult only area Upgrade on arrival Lovely Rooms Great location Good Gym
Limited free wifi On site restaurant food expensive In room coffee facilities, after 6 cups there is a charge of 1.5 Euro per cup Site is on a hillside, not great for have limited mobility
Draughty Bar areas, insufficient restaurant space, very high prIces for very average wine.
Everything Golf director at the hotel was excellent and deserves mentioning.
It was a complete escape. The staff were all so charming and helpful. Luxurious room with great views. Food great lots of choice of types of restaurants. Very comfortable. A true 5 star Hotel
The spa charges 25Euros to use the facilities if you are not having a treatment. This seems petty. Quite a lot of walking to and from hotel to beach restaurants etc. There are buggies but you have to wait for them.
Extra bed 148 euros per day!!!! We paid 1500 euros for that they can buy 3 bed like that. Baobab charged us 20 Euro which is fair price for this service Defenity too overpriced will not come back for what they offer
Staff and service excellent but too overpriced for what they offer.
Rooms are small even suits Why they couldn't invest couple thousands euro into new equipment in gym? Ritz should have much better sport equipment
the first night it was terrible, we booked two full sea view room, but when we got there, couldn't see any sea view from the room. but after talked with staff, we got a room free upgrade, we moved to the village with the full sea view.
the breakfast buffet is just so so.
Hotel room size and bathrooms excellent. Buffet breakfast great and superb choice of restaurants. First class kids club giving us some quality time.
Daytime service around the pool area and pool restaurant at New Year was very slow and sometimes forgetfull !! more staff needed. Plus pool was too cold and needed a few more degrees to swim comfortably at this time of year. This was dissapointing for us with children
everything is perfect
except a little windy in the night
Probably difficulty getting restaurant bookings, because they are not managed properly and tables could be taken more than once in the 6 to 10 time frame, as families with children have to leave quite quickly.
Generally very good hotel - excellent room . "Adult only" pool and restaurant at Mirador best part of holiday. Miriam is a star performer and should be congratulated on her customer service and attention to detail. Evening meal at Mirador was superb. Verona was consistently good. My wife thought that the Spa was excellent.
Petty charges and room service satff that dont listen/or undersatnd what has been requested. Final billing process was a nonsence with about 100Euros charged "by accident". We didnt go for the absurd cost of breakfast at £300!! We only want a coffee and croxant for breakfast - impossible to acheive which is frustrating. This is compounded by your short sighted policy to tell your guests, after arrival, that you charge for tea bags & coffee in the room!! This was a general topic of conversation amongst your guests + the cost of drinks. Unklike many, we did not bring in our own bottles of spirit etc. The devil is in the detail - things like this take the edge off what should have been a great experience.
Extremely friendly staff Very spacious room with comfortable terrace and amazing view
The Ritz is located in a quiet area. The rooms are spacious with a nice terrasse.Staff is friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is very good. We will certainly go back.
Adult only pool ,transportation round the resort, and general ambience .Gluten free bread available on request and soya milk included on the buffet. Italian restaurant very good and gluten free menu freely available
Too many pre school children and breakfast like a cross between a school dinner hall and Butlins . Quality of the food not wonderful Bacon rancid and not nice at all . If you want tea they don't provide boiling water
We travelled with 2 x 4 month old babies so could have been tough. But the babysitter on the hotel's list (www.tenerifechildcare.com - Jayne) was great, and gave us 4 hours a day of relief. Overall the hotel's own staff make this place. Yes the price is horribly high, but we really couldn't find fault with anything except the price and at the moment for us a stress free break is beyond price!! Staff are truly excellent, whether on the front desk, or the cleaning staff, or the life guards. They are all friendly but not overly so or ingratiating. Just really helpful and normal. Thank you particularly to Anna Karina (sp?) on dining reservations for arranging to make our few child free dinners really special - flower petals on the table, gift of a bottle of cava and macaroons for desert. It is in the middle of nowhere but the hotel's free bus service to various places gave us a chance to escape easily when we wanted to. Love the beach, love the choice of pools and restaurants and the music which carried up to our terrace by just the right amount every night to give us the ambience we craved but couldn't go in search of while our babies slept!! It was our second time here (last time baby free) and if we get desperate for sunshine again in November, will be back for a third time.
Not so much a dislike, but would be nice to have a map of the grounds with recommended walking paths on the Abama's grounds. We definitely weren't the only family with a pram and with two babies we needed to go for a walk each day so walked up to the tennis club a couple of times and down to the beach, but would have been nice to vary the route a little more. Wasn't clear if we were allowed to take the baby buggy onto the golf buggy roads as was told conflicting things about it, so we didn't go on just in case. Pools a bit cold, espc the kids pool. Didn't bother us too much as were armed to the teeth with neoprene, but would have been a bit easier to introduce babies to swimming in warmer water.
