Hotel bedrooms were comfortable and a good mini bar with soft drinks, location with beautiful views however on the top of a very steep hill, a good 20 minute walk to Girona Town. Staff were pleasant but understood very little English, Food and drink was very expensive at the hotel, 25 euro for meal and 17 euro for breakfast which is not worth it. The main restaurant located downstairs was not open as there was not enough people staying in the building so only very small cafe area where reception is, was open. Still charging same amount! Large terrace area which was lovely, would be nice to have a few sun loungers and a swimming pool is missing for a 5 star hotel. This hotel could have a lot more to offer!Recommend a trip by train to Barcelona around 15 euro return and a bus tour around Barcelona is approx 20 euro each, well worth it and you can get on and off as many times as you like, buses run every 10 minutes. This hotel is not for people who have any mobility difficulties!

We go to Girona a lot and this is the first time we've stayed in this hotel. We loved the location, its the closest & most stylish place you can get to the old town while still having easy parking and car access. The design of the hotel was clean and modern yet classic and tasteful. Loved the free minibar. The wifi charge in the rooms and the price of breakfast could be questioned but we got amazing value for money, so at those prices you can't complain.

Clean and comfortable, with a nice view of distant mountains from the open spaces and terrace (although not from rooms). Our pre book rate was reasonably good value. The 3 course meal on the terrace was very good value.

My young son and I have been coming to stay at ac Hotel Palau de Bellavista for the past 6 years now and it is synonymous with our love of Girona. The staff are wonderful, the view is fantastic and the walk up the hill keeps us fit.

We took advantage of an offer: 75 euros for the double room and 5 euros for the bouffet breakfast, for that prize this 5* hotel provided amazing value for money. At full prize, I'm not sure if the hotel is worth it. Only glitch, Wifi is not free in the rooms, this is clearly something to work on.

This is not 4 questions, this is a lot more, it was fine, can't really see 5 star rating though. Very quiet, left alone, but almost boring. No complaints, clean tidy, pleasant, reasonable price

Really nice modern hotel with amazing views over Girona. Staff were extremely friendly and spoke excellent English. As previously mentioned there are a few hills to get to hotel but don't let that put you off as there are ways to avoid them! Located close to the old part of town near cafes and restaurants. Free minibar was an added bonus! Definitely a good place to stay for a short weekend break.

We stayed at the Bellavista for 4 days in October. The location of the Hotel is good as the old walled town was easily accessible. There is a climb up to the Hotel but it is make easier if you take a right at no entry sign. The hotel was very clean and the view superb. We did however find it a little poor that they were only able to offer a room service menu on 2 days of our stay, I consider a beef burger and chips in the bar at 18 euros to be expensive!

Very nice vu of Girona. The rooms are comfortable. We went at the restaurant there and the food was ok. But the service was terrible. Stating with not knowing what is a dry martini... And charging for the olives! We were two couples in the restaurant and they served us so fast so they could close early. It was not fun...

The BellaVista has a great view over Girona which comes at the cost of a short but steep hill from the centre. The short walk acts as a great way to walk of the great inexpensive meals that you have in the historic Bari Veil area of the city. The rooms were excellent with a free "limited" mini bar which was very welcome. The staff were very helpful and they left a nice bottle of Champagne for our friends anniversary in the room which was well appreciated. All round a great short break enhanced by the hotel experience. Breakfast was €16 which encouraged us to walk to the town. At half the price we would have stayed at the hotel and probably spent more money!!

The staff was wonderful...very helpful and professional. Loved the room; it had lots of character and comfort. The mini bar was free. I would have liked the Internet to be free in the room, but it was free in the lobby (beautiful lobby by the way). You need to be in good health or have a car as the hotel is on a hill (beautiful view). We loved walking up and down the hill to the town. The historical area is very close and there are lots of resturants and shops (good prices). Taxi ride (about 10 minutes) to a Mall with excellent (not expensive) shopping. Barcelona is a 1 1/2 hour lovely train ride away---but you don't need it as there's lots to do and see locally. LOVELY THREE-DAY WEEKEND!!! Took my daughter and now want to come back with my husband.

Design is interesting. The room is large, bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is a bit poor, no eggs. The restaurant does not work on Sunday and Monday at all!!! And all city supermarkets do not work on Sunday! The Hotel should write about it on its web-site.
