Set on Parallel Avenue, the Hotel Auto Hogar is right across from Parallel Metro Station and a 10-minute walk from the Ramblas. It includes air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms.
Score from 2398 reviews Very good
Featuring a 1960s vibe and rooms with vintage décor, this hotel is in the heart of Barcelona, only a 2-minute walk from the famous Ramblas. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Score from 2292 reviews Very good
Set 3 metro stops from central Barcelona, the Atenas Catalonia has a rooftop swimming pool, offering views of the nearby Torre Agbar and Sagrada Familia. It also features free Wi-Fi.
Score from 2219 reviews Good
Hotel Market is located next to Barcelona’s San Antonio Market, 10 minutes from MACBA Gallery. Its chic rooms have rain showers and free Wi-Fi, and there is a popular restaurant.
Score from 789 reviews Very good
Not so close to the Rambla, on street to the hotel smells for dog pie, the room stinked to and the towels also had unpleased smell
GOOD WIFI, GOOD BED
But no option to open window and at the reception partly can explain everything about Barca.
Good location and service, breakfast! Very friendly.
Only plastic drinking cups supplied!!!!
we stayed for 4 days and really liked everything about the hotel
Comfort. All what I said in what I liked also came with an odd floorplan that just isn't logical. No operable windows, floor to ceiling glazing, poor privacy, combined with what seemed to be a dirty HVAC system that you had to fully rely on for venting due to the windows be non-operable.
Interesting and Different. Unique style. Chic Boutique Hotel different from the ordinary boring hotel. Location is great, close to Metro stops. Could get pretty much anywhere I wanted in 30 minutes at most.
Slight criticism, the light outside the bedroom which we couldn't switch off and the fact that we could not get fresh air because there aren't any open windows.
Quirky designed hotel. Only a few metres from La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter and the metro stop Parallel.
too expensive for this kind of room!!
Black design of room and hotel
Location Nice staff Nice restaurant and lounge
The guy at reception on arrival was lovely, rooms were clean and nice design. would stay again
Great location, super clean, with cleaning services and fresh towels every day. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
can't think of anything
staff are amazing location is good room is clean and modern decor is unique
During the first night the heating system did not work at all. The day after I have complaint and they said that they have made some modifications to the system so the higher temperature is getting by putting the lower temperature.
Wasn't keen on the breakfast bit to continental for us we like our full English also maybe have a snack vending machine in hotel save having to leave at nite to go supermarket
I liked the fact that there was a safety deposit box in the room and that it was free to use also could have clean bed linen everyday if needed.
not at all
Staff, Glorious Breakfast, Barcelona & SunSunSun
Staff was very friendly, easy location to get to from the Metro station, Restaurant open until midnight was super convenient
In winter it is rather cold in the room, and concerning the location: we liked it because I was travelling with my spouse but at night it is rather scary - the hotel is located in the Indian quarter so if you are a girl travelling alone I would recommend to stay at the hotel situated in some more crowed street)
We liked the location - everything is near (5 minutes walk to La Rambla, Port Vella, etc, two metro stations near by)
I had concerns about showering beside the window, as people living across the courtyard would have been able to see in. However, when the shower is on, it steams up and turns opaque.
Clean room Striking design - all black and white with mood lighting I loved the showering/sink area It was in a good location, near to La Ramblas but still quiet enough that it didn't feel hectic outside I'll definitely be staying here the next time I visit barcelona
-staff, the nicest we have met sofar -breakfast -situation
High humidity in the room after shower. The a/c in the room only heated the air. Room could have been 10-15% bigger.
Location was very nice. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.
Not good quality rooms, not supportive staff. all rooms has open bathroom which is pathetic since it is very close to residential area. when we ask reception to book a cab for airport taxi driver took 15 euroes extra saying that it is hotel commission, when we booked cab in the night on reception why they didn't said about charges.
Location was ok, close to some attractions.
Taxi from the airport is quite pricey, it's worth getting the train instead, runs regularly and enables you to see a bit more of the city. You can buy a pass to use the public transport 10 times, which works out to be much cheaper.
The hotel is on the doorstep of la rambla, within the gothic district with plenty to see and do. There's plenty of traditional cuisine and the staff were always on hand to offer suggestions and give directions.
no windows-only aircondition makes it a bit claustrofobic.
close to main sights and late night cafes on avenue paralel.
Street didn't feel the safest, but few steps down the road and were fine
Staff tips for where to eat and methods for beating the queues for attractions
Didn't like the layout of room and walking to the room was abit frightening.
Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed at the Acta Mimic in mid October and due to a passport situation we needed to stay an additional three nights in Barcelona before heading home. After our great experience the first stay we headed back once again. The staff were fantastic in ensuring that our passports arrived back to us on time and called numerous times on our behalf. In particular we would like to commend Anna of the front desk staff for going above and beyond. All the staff were very professional and helpful for suggesting restaurants, sights, where to shop etc. and made our time in Barcelona very enjoyable. The hotel itself very well situated close to major streets, the Metro, the Mediterranean, the Ramblas, Gotic Quarter etc. All were within easy walking distance. The rooms while a little different to North American rooms had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. There were easily a hundred restaurants within a 10 minute walk and also grocery stores where we would buy fruit or bread and cheese for breakfasts and lunches. Great place to explore Barcelona from!!!
Hotel was in a rundown area. The surrounding streets were dark and narrow which made returning at night appear intimidating.
Excellent breakfast which was well cooked and presented, certainly value for money. Staff were polite and willing to please.
