This is a nice modern University dorm facility, set on its own grounds in a very green and pleasant sports facility area. Excellent underground secure parking facility. Local subway (l3) is perfect and runs right into the heart of the city. A/c worked fine. Double glazed windows. Breakfast was copious with everything you would want supplied. They also do lunch and dinner, so if you arrange in advance, you can join those. Subway stop about 10-minutes walk down the hill. Every room has a desk which is 'wired' for students, so with a short cable, the Internet connection works well...I Never needed to try the WiFi, which does exist in the lobby for sure, so I cannot really comment on that. The guests were pleasant, and the hallways get quiet later in the evening so sleeping wasn't a problem.

This is not a complaint, just a few things of which you need to be aware. The location is nice, but about 30-minutes (walk + subway) to the heart of Barcelona. This is a "hotel" only for the summer and college holidays. Most of the "guests" visiting in the building are 14-18 year old student groups with their coaches or teachers visiting Barcelona for sports camps or school outings. Expect large numbers of kids, with the noise and general inattentiveness to decorum or rules that comes with a school. That said, these kids are on holiday, relaxed and enjoying themselves, so there is really no problem. They congregate in the lobby area and outside, and make some noise into the evening on the front side of the hotel (I was on the backside which is quiet at night). The cafeteria is a large well laid-out facility, and the food it plentiful, but basically just ok. No custom touches or gourmet fare.

The location is very good. The breakfast was very good too. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom need some modernization (we paid superior room but the bathroom wasn't superior!!)

A little far from the centre city, but the metro is just 5min walking. Room is clean. Breakfast is very good.

There is no hairdryer, and the wifi is not good.

On the reception the information was not full. Breakfast is very standart. No tv in the room. Very cold in the room and no more blankets. I have been there for 2 nights but the room was not cleaned. It is also not easy to find the hotel even if it is no so far from the metro.

Hotel is in the nice area near the park, rooms are basic, but with a big bathroom. Breakfast was great - many options, you can also pay extra for dinner. Internet at the recepction is available and there is free wifi. Metro is about 5 min. walking.

Last day we left early morning at 6.30 and breakfast starts at 7.30, so we asked receptionist day before, if it´s possible to have a take away breakfast - only yogurt or something small, but she didn´t accept it...I think the hotel should do everything for guests satisfaction, and it was nothing impossible what we asked for. But it is the only minus we have.

I selected this hotel because it's just near the transit road, so I didn't have to drive through the city I'm not familiar with at peak hours. In addition Agora has much cheaper underground parking than at other hotels, also there is a lot of free public parking space nearby that we used. Than we visited city center by metro like other people wrote. The area is green and quiet, air is fresh though heavy loaded road is nearby. The twin room was just as on photos, with good beds, big closets and no lock at the bathroom door. Toiletries were provided. Ac worked fine. Wi-Fi is available at lobby but too slow to use Skype comfortably. Once connected at lobby I was able to use Wi-Fi at the room, public PCs were free often too. Breakfasts and dinners were good. Note that you could book dinner for your first evening on arrival but dinners for the next evenings should be pre-booked in 24h. Coffee and cold drinks at vending machines are cheap as well. As for laundry the prices were €4 per washmashine, €2 per drying machine. An iron is free but you have to take distilled water at reception, no idea how much this costs.

The worst thing is that I had to prepay entire stay to get an official confirmation (for visa) and hotel warned me that this payment is not refundable unless only a visa is rejected. It took several days and a lot of communication, signing and scanning papers to get the confirmation - the longest hotel booking procedure I ever had. :) Once we arrived however the staff was friendly and gave us a lot of useful information. This place is also extremely noisy at dinner time. I'm former university teacher so I do not bother much on that but students in my country are much more quiet. Also the restrictions (no noise, no alcohol, no tobacco) are strict but it seems you are not expected to follow them - it was a translation of soccer game at one day and fans screamed until midnight.

The nearest hotel station have the green line, witch you can use for the city center (Ramblas included). The breakfast was really good. Agora is pretty close to the metro station.

Housekeeping could not cope on Monday morning. Breakfast area a mess, room not done. Probably just an incident.

The staff was helpful with information, the location is easy to reach form teh city centre by metro. The breakfast was good. All in all, great value for money.

Good location, 15 min to the city centre by subway, fresh air, gardens, nice breakfast, free parking.
