The place, the people, It had a simple elegance that made this place special.
The views,peace & quiet,good breakfast,clean spacious room,helpful staff.All good.
driving up the track.Think, "worlds most dangerous roads",but harder.
Farmhouse in gorgeous setting away from it all. Great place to relax and hike directly from hotel. Would stay there again!
Yes, the road into it is tough and unnerving. But they do offer pick up and drop off service to restaurants in Port de Soller for 10 euros. Worth it!
Fantastic views character relaxing good food
The only draw back is the difficult drive up the mountain to get there
Lovely location. Peaceful. Wonderful views. Nice rooms.
Limited facilities. But fine if you just want to sit and read or look at the view. A long, narrow, steep, winding road is the only access. Need a small car and good nerves to drive up. Or 30 minute walk!
..starting from the road leading to the Muleta, which has been described many times here and is just an adventure and magnificent, once one gets up to the top of the mountain, one has simply reached paradise - silence, only some wind and the sound of birds, a pool to hang out, great food, beautifully designed and equipped rooms and hiking paths just behind the house. I will be back very soon hopefully.
Really enjoyed our stay, very tranquil and relaxing place. We didn,t hire a car so walked every day into the resort-very challenging but worth it. Breakfast excellent and had evening meal on 3 occasions-good food and very good value. Would definitely recommend this accomodation.
calm and relaxing space and size of the apartment friendly staff location and views walks and tracks port soller
directions given on the link are incorrect, don't go to Bens D Avall. Drive from Soller to Port Soller, Fork right and under main road parallel to tram track. Turn left over tram track and torrent signed Platj de Rejic. Turn left at Restaurant Campo del Sol. Up the hill to the top. Enjoy the view.
I have never written a review for a hotel before but I felt compelled to write one because of my awful stay here. The dirt track to the hotel was ridiculous - worst experience in a car! The staff were never at reception and when finally located very unhelpful. The cats and dog made breakfast very unpleasant not to mention unhygienic. If you wanted to have dinner at the hotel you had to inform the staff (if you could find them) before lunch time, and you also had to specify what you wanted in advance. Overall we had a very disappointing stay!
Stunning view and a great place
The drive up the hill and the directions via booking.com were ridiculous
Gorgeous rooms, big beds, crisp linen, huge basins, great views. Lovely breakfasts, tea/coffee making in room. Appreciated the friendly staff, peace, style, comfy outdoor seating, the pool etc. Love the attention to detail and decor of the whole place.
The directions from Booking.com which were completely wrong! Call or email the hotel for accurate directions. The really bumpy track up to the hotel - do not attempt with a large car or caravan! Nicer shampoos/bodywash in room would be a treat, and easy to provide.
The whole place has a really natural feel and is a marvellous place to relax. Although we stayed in the apartment we took advantage the breakfast and dinner options, and both proved to be very good. If you are happy to just chill out and read books then this could be an ideal choice.
The road up from Port Soller is very narrow, with many U bends and only a few passing bays. Fortunately we did not encounter and vehicles travelling in the opposite direction!
Fantastic view, very quiet - almost poetic location and very rustic romantic rooms.
The staff seemed a bit lacy and not very engaging. The poolsite could use a facelift.
The area of Soller, the old hotel building with soul and history. Pool-area nice and with a beautiful view. Rooms big and nice view.
Needed enthusiasm and dedication from staff. Though one nice lady made me a delicious coffee with a smile one day. Difficult to find staff when in need of help/food. Needed a sign on the way up the mountains to the Hotel as we drove up, spoke to 4 family that returned back down halfway up. Trip up the mountains was very difficult in a medium car, we hit rocks twice.
The peace and quiet and beautiful location staff very welcoming .
The road to the property a bit inconvenient but wouldn't put me off staying again
charm of the hotel / staff / views / cleanliness
Having read previous reviews, we expected the track to the hotel to be bad - it was far worse than we expected and spoiled our 4 night stay as we felt extremely isolated with few facilities.
The location, views & buildings were rustic and stunning. The staff were all friendly and courteous. The food was great - traditional & home-cooked. The GR221 runs right behind the hotel. Overall a beautiful, laid back, relaxing place to stay.
We loved everything about our stay. The suit with spectacular wievs is especially recomended. Remember to hire a small car. Ford fiesta, fiat 500 or smart is ideal for the bumpy and steap road up to the hotel.
The views, access to good hiking, general atmosphere of the property, size and comfort of the rooms.
Understaffing, a bar that was not used, improvements to the road are needed, price too high by 30%.
Calm and romantic
No bar service, far from the sea
Totally relaxed atmosphere with privacy
Perfekt place to celebrate 25th weddingday. The good was the best on the Island.
The road up to the Hotel was interesting..... With a small car it had been much easier.:) We will be back :)
The location was amazing, very tranquil and peaceful. The facilities were great with wonderful service from the staff, the bedrooms and public areas were full of antiques and were tastefully decorated and it was clear that this had been a family home for generations
The only thing I would add is that the drive up the mountain road to the hotel would not be for everybody as it is very narrow with many bends
The location was fantastic, just so peaceful and with a stunning view. Our room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast on the patio was superb as was the choice of foods available. We had dinner for all the nights (3) and it was excellent. WiFi very fast in and outside.
My advice would be to use a small car to get up the track to the hotel. I enjoyed the challenge, but drive carefully.
The views were wonderful and the suite comfortable
We were warned about the difficult approach but the directions were poor and the road VERY RUGGED no mention was made of the below floor bathroom which is totally unsuitable for people with limited walking.we had booked meals but very little was available when we arrived
