In a more residential area of Madrid

The staff were at the front desk were not the friendliest. The support staff were great! The cost for internet was quite high.

Cleanliness, comfort. Proximity to the centre of Madrid and lovely park nearby.

I would have availed of coffees and breakfast if it had been a little cheaper. I only want a croissant and coffee in the morning and paying 15euros is a bit expensive for that.

I do not think this hotel deserves 4 stars. The hallways and the room smelled bad even after we let the window open for 3h!

Breakfast was wonderful!

Internet is standard almost everywhere now at no additional charge. It should be like hot water in the shower - a basic service provided with the room.

It is conveniently located and offers a good standard of accommodation at very reasonable rates

Nice hotel, good location. Breakfast was good, loads of choice.

Thin walls, internet service is really bad: you have to pay for it, it expires every day at 12pm (so if you buy it in the morning for the whole day, you will have to pay twice) and it only allows one device connected at a time (so if you want to connect laptop and mobile phone you have to pay twice).

Close to Retiro. Easy walking distance to Plaza Mayor. Easy and short frive from Son's house.

When we arrived at midnight we were told there was NO reservation for us even though I had a copy of my confirmation. He wasn't very helpful & said we'd have to pay the full price for the room. Eventually given a room at original price. Not a good welcome after a long flight from Australia. Just a photocopy map available & no other tourist information; couldn't even tell us where to get the city tourist bus. Charge for use of safe as well as the Internet.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

There was no wifi for the first 24 hours--only a problem because this was a working trip, and I needed internet connection. I was repeatedly told "the technician is on his way." For 24 hours? I asked for a non-smoking room, and was told upon check-in that this request was granted. Although my room had a no smoking sign posted, the odor of tobacco was evident. There was an ashtray in my room and numerous burns on the furniture. The hotel breakfast was ridiculously expensive---15€.

It was so near to Atocha station that you don't need to take a bus, or taxi o get there. The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic.

Close to Atocha rail station for going to other cities. Close to Prado and other museums as well as botanic gardens, Plaza Mayor and Pta Sol

Host to many coach parties who strip the breakfast room bare. Replenishment is very slow if at all so a late breakfast means a very reduced service.

It's located near the train station and can accomodate big groups when necessary.

Staff is not very friendly. Receptionists speak very poor English, barely understandable. Breakfast seems to be designed to watch you shape: not a big variety, not enough for everybody, have to wait for 5-15 minutes to get some hot water for tea and it gets cold instantly because they bring it in small open cans... Rooms are not insulated at all, you hear everything your neighbours say. Not very clean either.

They have double rooms only for smokers. We ordered double room but it smelled awful. Nevertheless personnel changed it to the twin without any problems. Beds in the twin room were easily moved together. Luckily air conditioning worked well and it was almost the main point in such hot days of our staying in Madrid.

Good hot/cold breakfast selection. Room with lovely marble bathroom, fridge safe, flat screen television. Effective A/C. Hotel close to Metro station and bus stop right outside.

Not very well served for anywhere to walk out to eat in the evening. On a main road so can be noisy. Hotel a little dark inside.

It is 8 min walk from Atocha Renfe. It is very convenient for travellers. The room is spacious.

Old hotel with very strong "old hotel smell". The personal safe in the room is chargeable. The staff in hotel is not very friendly and not informative. No amenity nearby the hotel.
