The modern Eurostars Lucentum is in central Alicante, on Alfonso X Avenue. All of the air-conditioned rooms have free Wi-Fi and there is also a restaurant.
Score from 1760 reviews Very good
Estudiotel Alicante's spacious rooms offer free Wi-Fi. It is by the Bulevar Plaza Shopping Center, just steps from El Corte Inglés Department Store, and free parking is available nearby.
Score from 882 reviews Good
In gardens and featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Apartamentos Concorde is just a 3 minute walk from Sant Joan Beach. Its apartments and studios have free Wi-Fi.
Score from 649 reviews Good
Set at the foot of Santa Barbara Castle, Hotel Maya is a 5-minute walk from Alicante Beach and a 10-minute walk from the center.
Score from 1491 reviews Very good
Perfect seaview, just 4 tram stops from the city center and 2 stops from Castello de Alicante. Clean and nice neighbourhood. Parking, swimming pool, ping-pong and tenis courts exist. Good breakfast.
Not so rich breakfast buffet
The staff were so friendly and helpful especially around mealtimes. Anna from the cafeteria was lovely. She needs to be congratulated.
There is a really smelly aroma from the bathroom most evenings. I think it might due to sewage system and Spain and not the fault of the hotel.
Location, breakfast, bedrooms
On arrival day, 80 kids (12-16) were living in the Hotel making it impossible to rest or sleep!!!! The Hotel should avoid having other guests in such circumstances!!!! We were going to interrupt our staying when we were informed that the kids had already departed . . .
This is a well run, well appointed hotel.
The hotel is the bottom floors of a massive apartment block. Unfortunately our neighbours in the apartment above were very noisy until 3am. We were lucky to have paid extra for a sea view as the "mountain view" at the rear is actually a cliff face!!!
The modern styling inside. Breakfast was very good. Wifi was OK but gave up on streaming. Nice tapas bar. Close to beach. I would not recommend the non sea-view rooms.
Long walk to rooms. Parking, car access needs to be clearer. Hotel is quite a long way from the action and any restaurants. Quite a long walk to the tram station.
The small bar tapas was excellent friendly and good value . Great coffee
Good food, excellent staff and good transport links to town. No need to hire a car.
Why did the swimming pool close at the end of September?
The reception area is nice with a playing area for kids Free parking
The hotel building is so old the rooms is so old even they have a new rooms but they book for us the oldest ones The electricity keeps going down The AC is so bad
Hotel is clean and comfortable with helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are fine and hotel facilities are good. Tram service into Alicante is only a few minutes walk away.
If you are driving the hotel can be a little difficult to find as it sits beneath a busy highway. Pool closes at end of September which is a pain if you turn up expecting it to be open in early October, plus the beaches are a ten minute walk from the hotel.
The free parking is a neat feature, but you have to get there early. Otherwise, it will be fully packed. The cost-benefit is good, not great. Good thing is: you'll have privacy in the bathroom, differently from the Accor/Ibis hotels, for example.
The beach is a scam. There is sea by the hotel, yes, but it is not a beach. You can't go down and can't swim or do anything. The hotel is by the road, you'll have to walk a lot before getting to any beach or downtown. The air conditioner doens't work very well for such a big room.
Restaurant Rooms Staff
Location : hotel in a block of appartments: never seen before Environment was old and dirty
Cleanliness, beautiful view of the sea, lovely swimming pool. The staff were extremely frientlyl
The pool was too far away from the hotel, you couldn't sit by the pool and get a drink from the bar it was too far away. No outside seating area during the day.
Friendly staff, the hotel is located in front of the sea but the beach is 10 min by tram + a 10 min walk.
The hotel goes down, reception is on the 3rd floor and we had the room on the first floor, there were horrible noises coming from the rooms above. Even thought outside was completely quite that went on for mos of the night. Could not sleep properly unfortunately, only stay two nights and was not bother to change room after a whole day out!
The pool was unshaded all day; Staff where helpful and friendly and arranged for a room move following a sleepless night; The tram station into Alicante was only a short walk from the hotel.
The hotel picture is misleading; I was on the first floor and paid extra for a sea view. My actual view was of garages with the sea only just visible; Being kept awake most of the night due to people partying in the room above.
Accommodation was clean and comfortable. There is plenty of free parking. Good if you want to play tennis or just sit around the pool. The staff were very good and refunded our last night as we left the hotel a day early.
The location was not good. Unless you want to drive everywhere, there are no nice bars or restaurants within walking distance.
When you get over the outer look of the place it was a very pleasant stay. The people were nice and very helpful. Having Spanish Holiday appartments above the hotel makes for the surrounding restaurants to serve good food at a reasonable price. The food at the hotel was also very good. I could be tempted to stay there again some day.
The reception area needs to be bigger. It was very slow in getting attended to. The ground floor rooms facing the Tram lime are a bit noisy and the view is lacking. The free wifi is slow and keeps dropping out. Maybe a better router may be required.
35 min walk to alicante beach no restuarants or pubs on route. Infact nothing at all on way. Ants on floor off room, air con takes bout 4 hrs to cool down room. Wifi worst I have ever used. Paid extra for sea veiw however all I cn were garages for apartments above. Hammer and drilling at 8am 5 mornings out of the week.
Great staff, good food, the facilities are somewhat limited but the hotel is very clean and the rooms are of reasonable size.
The outside looks like cell block H, always book a room with a balcony and sea view, which was a glimpse rather than a view. Do not book a back room which looks directly at a cliff or brick wall.
All most everything
Comfortable room, free parking, close to the waterfront, fast internet
Ants in the bathroom, dated hallways, crowded breakfast, claimed sea-view was rather a parking garage view
Clean Some friendly staff Near to beach, tennis courts Easy access to transport
Had to transfer to 2 different rooms Cockroaches Understaffed Choice of food on menu sometimes not available esp when eating late.
Outlook onto sea but our room was at back lookin onto a Wall of sheer rock
hotness noisy air con poor wifi poor claustrophobic view
Surprised that there was no fridge in the room
There were a couple of little beaches nearby.
The pool hours are restricted - 10 am to 6 pm which makes it difficult for staying one night. The pool is also a 5 minute walk from the hotel. My window had a thin curtain so the light from the street shone in all night. Parking is limited. There are few places to eat nearby. I expected more from Best Western.
Excellent facilities and extremely helpful staff who's level of customer service was exceptional
Exterior not brilliant especially first impressions from "road side" of hotel
